fazzyfox Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Should relocate it to the Emirates then White Hart Lane for a few weeks. Who are we? This is who we are.

It should be permanent somewhere though, if not the ground some other building or museum in the city. They should build it, and then extend it, on Filbert Street. That place is a mess. The club could buy the land, tidy it up, build a museum. We could have all that Champions and survival memorabilia. We've got a Community shield, plenty of league cups, four FA Cup final defeats. And that's on top of the player's we've had here - including some of the very best - Lineker, Banks, Revie etc etc. There's enough to build a museum. The club would make off it. They could even extend the car park and make off that on matchdays. It's sad how Filbert Street looks now.
Fox92 Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 As for this exhibition itself, I went for the first time prior to the Southampton game last week. Was very impressed. It's better than I thought it would be. They used a picture of me at Manchester City away in there but I've sadly got my flag in front of my face.

It'd be great if they moved it to Filbert Street but with other parts of our history alongside it, as a museum. Perhaps an allocated fan park for fans to gather, or a large screen showing the game... There are options with the land and it wouldn't take too much to turn it around I reckon.
Wymsey Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 I don't think the council own the Filbert Street land, but some landlord company does? Hence there was complaints quite recently in that company owning that site was not clearing the mess that was/is still there.
VLC86 Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Just been, so emotional but own up, which one of you horrible lot covered my face here at Watford?

They all use the same footage it seems, Sky, MOTD. I said if it wasn't for the banner I was holding up the camera wouldn't have been up there anyway.
ajthefox Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 I enjoyed revelling in it when I went a couple weeks back but I didn't think it was as good are people making out really. The thing that really got me though as someone else has mentioned was the paper clippings. Seeing stuff from all over the world with us on it really made it hit home for me.
EGBFitness Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Went at the start of the summer, really impressive and quite emotional Unless they have anything planned to put there I personally think they should keep it there! I bet the museum have seen a lot more visitors since the opening of the exhibition. If not just about city they should have a history of Leicester sports or something and celebrate all Leicester teams successes and stuff?

Probably for the best I can't be seen on here, was properly flu'd up at this one.

Yeah the newspapers did me, opening the Italian one with 'King Claudio' on and seeing Andy King say something along the lines of he had seen some incredible stuff in his time here. Tempted to ask them for scans of them newspapers and try to make something from them.

Bayfox Posted 10 October 2016 Posted 10 October 2016 Looks like I'm gonna have to go at 10am before we play palace. My mum took my kids during the summer but I've not had chance.
Guest CityFan 06 Posted 10 October 2016 Posted 10 October 2016 Would be nice if we had something like this at Filbert Street. What I'd like to see is a museum type thing on the site, illustrating our history. We've got a proud history and I'd like to see more evidence of this either outside the KP or on the Filbo site, or both.
davieG Posted 10 October 2016 Posted 10 October 2016 Ranieri Visits Fearless Foxes Exhibition Posted: Mon 10 Oct 2016 Author: Leicester City image: http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/claudio-ff-4-3280-3356906_613x460.jpg Claudio Ranieri made a special trip to New Walk Museum on Monday, as the Leicester City manager visited the brilliant Fearless Foxes exhibition. - Claudio Ranieri visited the Fearless Foxes exhibition at New Walk Museum on Monday - The exhibition pays tribute to Leicester City’s Premier League-winning campaign - Nearly 90,000 people have visited the exhibition, which ends on Sunday 23 October Claudio Ranieri made a special trip to New Walk Museum on Monday, as the Leicester City manager visited the brilliant Fearless Foxes exhibition. Fearless Foxes pays tribute to City’s magnificent 2015/16 title-winning campaign by collating video footage, photography and memorabilia to take you back through the Club’s stunning turnaround in fortunes. A timeline of the season starts with the Foxes’ opening-day win over Sunderland and runs right the way through to the Premier League trophy lift, with all the magical moments in between. It was fitting for Ranieri – the man who masterminded it all – to take a look at the exhibition, which he said brought back some fond memories. image: http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/ff-480280-3356917.jpg “It’s amazing. It’s the first time I’ve been here and it’s very, very well done,” Ranieri told LCFC TV. “There are some fantastic pictures and there are some very emotional things here, so I think all our fans have to come down. “It’s good to come back to these memories. I am now very focused on this season and now we must fight for a new challenge.” Club Historian John Hutchinson, alongside New Walk Museum, BBC Radio Leicester and the Leicester Mercury, helped to piece together the exhibition, which since opening in June has had nearly 90,000 visitors. John said: “It evokes a whole host of memories from last season, which was of course the best without doubt in the Club’s 132-year history. image: http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/ff-480-1280-3356916.jpg “To come up here and see these exhibits brings up some brilliant memories. We have a chronological display of the season and on the far side there’s a whole range of artefacts and memorabilia. “The messages from fans are an important part of the Club’s history too because it shows just how important it was to them all. “It must be brilliant for Claudio too. He’s been at Leicester just over a year now and within that time he’s catapulted the Club right onto the global scale and he of course features very heavily in the exhibition.” The Fearless Foxes exhibition runs until Sunday 23 October, so make sure you pay a visit to New Walk Museum before then. New Walk Museum is open seven days a week. Opening hours are 10am to 5pm from Monday to Saturday, and 11am to 5pm on Sundays. image: http://www.lcfc.com/cms_images/social-storybanner-2015280-2692749.png Read more at http://www.lcfc.com/news/article/2016-17/ranieri-visits-fearless-foxes-exhibition-3356836.aspx#mBTRO2G2dvLFqdPq.99

SystonFox Posted 10 October 2016 Posted 10 October 2016 John Hutchinson was my history teacher in secondary school at anstey Martins between 1998-2000. I'm 90% sure he was a man united fan.... he certainly made a point of saying he went to all Man U champs league games?!? good teacher though
