davieG Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 http://www.101greatgoals.com/news/schmeichel-right-robert-lewandowskis-penalty-v-denmark-illegal/? Always thought this would be controversial as the difference between feinting and stopping during the run up to a penalty can be so marginal and subjective. It should really go back to how it always used to be a clean run up.
foxy boxing Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 The officials should see if it was an illegal penalty or not and if it was they are clearly not doing their jobs properly.players are allowed to stop during a run up to see if the goalkeeper moves but not again and again but I'm not too sure

purpleronnie Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Goalkeepers are idiots. They get total protection from officials, moan at anyone when THEY concede a goal. Anything that makes them look like the clown 'footballers' they are is alright by me.
Guest Sharpe's Fox Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 This happens every other peno. Goalkeepers coming off their line when they shouldn't does as well. Sometimes both happen at the same time. Both are as bad as eachother, imo.
Nalis Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 The rules are ridiculous and so grey at the minute. They should either allow feigning / stopping in its entirely or ban it all together. In its current form, if the keeper faces a penalty taker they dont expect them to stop otherwise its an illegal penalty even though the penalty taker would claim its a feign.
one F in Fox Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Can't see anything wrong with the penalty, but did find it odd that Kasper was shown the yellow card before he even got to the referee!

Donut Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 I think this looks like an ok penalty to me, looks like a faint and not a stop, Kasper goes very early and Lewandowski cooly puts it the other way. No different to many penalties ive seen really.
TheMightySystem Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 He dosn't stop moving so I don't think it is illegal, however doing it half a second before shooting is a bit of a dick move considering the odds are in his favour anyway. He wont care though he scored the goal and it was given.
stevelcfc Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 Hopefully they'll bad the faint and then I'll be a bit happier about Mahrez continuing to take ours
AyewJoking Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 never really thought the feint was fair, then again it seems in 99% of penalties the keeper is off the line before the ball is struck. think the taker should only be allowed a 1-2 yard run up effectively making him have to strike it from a standing position and the keeper should stick to his line or be yellowed and kick is retaken (if he saves it).

His first season at the club I remember him saving quite a few. Ever since then he gets beat quite easily from the spot. Which is surprising really because his main attributes are his reflexes & shot stopping.
fuchsntf Posted 9 October 2016 Posted 9 October 2016 GKs Strikers.....swings and roundabouts... Both usually over 6.2ft....then moan like the wimps they are..

Guest Posted 10 October 2016 Posted 10 October 2016 move the penalty taker back 30 yards and then he stop, or feint, or faff about as much as he likes.
spacemunky Posted 10 October 2016 Posted 10 October 2016 I don't like the feint at all. When you're world class like Lewa, it just seems cheap. Keepers are already at a huge disadvantage to begin with.
MrSpaM Posted 10 October 2016 Posted 10 October 2016 Nothing wrong with that penalty at all, I've seen our players do much more obvious dodgy penalties before
