Albrighton was amazing last season along with Mahrez and the rest of the squad so either they've not bought over the Buddhist monks this season or someone has put a spell on us to play awful at times !! lol

But on the positive side Gray looks like he's going to be quality for us if they give him the game Time, and I can definitely see that he will when we lose Mahrez and co  for the AFCON !

If we can build on some of our decent performances this season I believe we will be fine and not worry about the Dreaded R word :revenge:

Gray will play opposite Albrighton when Mahrez ships out for his national side and I think that's why we saw him in that role against Everton and the lad played well, trouble is tho Claudio made a BOOBOO when he took Gray off as Albrighton was having a mare of a game and a portion of the crowd made their feelings known for that decision he should have left Gray on Albrighton's left and Mahrez on his right !

I can't help but feel Gray is the only threat we have at the minute and it will be a shame to see him on the bench.

The poor lad must be frustrated. Granted he can't expect to walk in the team but when you prove yourself everytime you play and still can't get in this team i wouldn't be suprised to see him want out soon.

last week he had one shot off target in the first half and not much else. One shot  in 90 minutes

Hes not doing as well as everyone seems to think .He will play in January though so we can get a much better look

Tbf 1 shot in a game is probably as much as our strikers these days.

Well he got a start against Everton but for me after an encouraging ten minute spell in the first half he did next to nothing in the time he was on the pitch. I was disappointed in his contribution. He will need to play in January though so let's hope he can do better.

I used to play in midfield and would be very upset if I didn't get a couple of efforts on goal in 90 minutes. never mind as a striker.

When gray in jan is playing and having 3/4 good efforts on goal and setting a few chances up he will be up to speed .

Likewise most of the others we need 20 plus goal attempts per game at any level.

Can you play centre mid?

A lot of people saying he didn't do a lot after a promising start....

Did he do more than Shinji and Albrighton? Obvious answer is yes, a lot lot more, which is why everyone is so frustrated he's not playing. Albrighton just gives the ball away and Shinji (although a lot will disagree) imo just falls over. Personally I'd like to see him behind whichever striker we choose against West Ham, and Riyad on the right but switching with him. We're too predictable going forward and this might offer some difference.

I agree with all of this. I'd put Fuchs as left mid with Chilwell at left back and, like you say, allow Gray and Mahrez to switch between right mid and support striker for Ulloa (who deserves a start and, remember, scored that vital late pen v West Ham last season). We have to make the opposition defence unsure and uncomfortable. At the moment our offensive 'playbook' (to borrow from another sport) is very thin indeed.

He seemed to disappear from the match after the first 20 or so, I almost forgot he was playing. Not getting involved is worse IMO than doing so but having a bad game.

Even so, I was disappointed when he was subbed as, like Mahrez he seems the sort who could suddenly make something happen.

Bit difficult for him to come in and play a blinder straight away though... give him a couple of games under his belt and he'll be match sharp....
