He'll have enough energy to run all game, opposition defenders will eventually get tired out in continually chasing pacey wingers as the game goes on.

No brainer really as he has the desire and provides more attacking intent compared to other available wingers.

Did more today in 30secs than Albrighton did all game.

Hope you are joking, a few tricks against a tired defence does not constitute the new messiah, Albrighton was our best player yesterday (not hard) he looked like he actually gave a f&$", he worked hard, put in some good crosses and didn't pull out when he knew he was getting wiped out, trying to make something happen, just outside their area on about 70 mins, sure he isn't the most talented, but with our shocking defence, we need his workrate and commitment to track back, if the rest had his attitude, we wouldn't be in the poo right now.

Albrighton worked slightly harder than the rest but offered very little going forward. He produced one good cross all game, Gray came on and produced one good cross in a shorter space of time. That's all. Watching Albrighton cut onto his right foot and overplaying the same pass to Mahrez is getting boring to see every week.

Totally agree with this

He started against Hull, was shite, and hasn't really been given a chance since. I'd like to see him play left wing and Albrighton right for a couple of games. Mahrez and Vardy can sit in the stands and watch until some sort of desire comes back. Play Okazaki behind Slimani and see if they link up. He might as well change it around and not be loyal to the same crop from last season

Albrighton is much better going forward on the right so totally agree. He's rarely played there for us

Name a player who wasn't shite against Hull?

Why are we talking about Gray v Albrighton? It's Mahrez who should be dropped.

Albrighton was about the only one trying yesterday and that alone, in the circumstances, should be enough for him to keep his place.

Mahrez hasn't been shocking, but it's obvious that if we are only ever going to pick one flair player, then Gray deserves a run in the team over him.

I don't know what it is but Mahrez has lost, or isn't using his speed to get past people anymore. Gray is clearly quicker, hungrier and more unpredictable to play against.

Not sure we can play Gray and Mahrez in the same team because we need some defensive qualities as well at the moment.Would be good to have Albrighton on the right Gray on the left and Mahrez coming on a bit later at least for a game or two.Still believe Mahrez is the best player in team but maybe he needs a break

Comes on and provides another goal for the team. Good man Dimmy! If he's lucky a team that can see his potential and actually want to see it in action will come in for him in January.

We can only play Mahrez and gray if we played 4-3-3 or 4-5-1

Gray and Okazaki should have played from the start that was obvious. vardy and Mahrez are just not doing it, they don't find each other in matches and they are not doing much on the pitch with Vardy not even closing down defenders anymore. The squad just doesn't seem interested anymore and they are severely letting down and short changing the fans. We want to see commitment, drive, determination and a willingness to try. Claudio should start some of the hungry determined to get going youngsters and give Mahrez and Vardy a kick up the backside

Goal and an assist in about 8 minutes of football this season. Deserved an extended run.

Won a pen, scored, and an assist in 227 PL minutes.

why do people keep banging on about albrighton and his defensive work? we still concede a shit ton of goals with him in the side.

Yes. Why doesn't our left winger prevent teams from tearing open our center and right sides?

That's exactly what I'd try. Slimani is an out and out striker not a 10. Albrighton does his absolute best on the left but is a natural right winger with a great cross plus will defend. Gray got to be worth a start and Okazaki in form. Stick Marhez and Vardy on the bench. Need to give both Mendy and James some game time v Porto.

If we intended to go 4-3-3, there's an argument for him and Mahrez either side of Slimani, because the extra man in centre mid could give him greater freedom, but in a 4-4-2 I doubt he'd do much in terms of helping us double up at the back, or when we compacted the midfield. In 3-5-2 you could argue there's a space for a free role at the top of the midfield (like Mahrez in 2015), in front of Cambiasso and James. That role could go to Gray, if we opted for the 3-4-1-2 sort of approach.

That said, if work ethic is one of our bigger problems right now, I'm not sure we need someone like Gray. Regardless of whether he comes up with something once every so often. Gray's voice on social media - and his body language on the pitch - couldn't be any closer to epitomising apathy.

How much would it take for Everton to get Gray?

If they offer him Bolasie's position, starting every week, that sorts his 'game time' out.

Steve Walsh knows him inside out, so that's sorted.

Only thing left would be Gray's decision and if he was tempted how much Leicester would be prepared to let him go for.

I reckon 15 mill would get him, ridiculously cheap, but realistic.
