Joefox Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 There is no chance the owners will keep him if we are in genuine danger of going down. They want us as an established premier league team and the original vision when we got here was for us to push on and get European football in the next few years. We did the unthinkable last season, it was glorious and I will never forget it but Ranieri looks completely lost to me ATM. I just can't see us winning a game anytime soon. We are dropping like a stone and the confidence is completely shot. I don't want this club to become a laughing stock by getting relegated the season after winning the title. This club can't afford to be relegated and the owners won't allow it to happen.

We, the fans, are part of the "team", when they are winning, but not , when they are losing? How is that? What happened to the good, old " we win together, we lose together " ? Out of fashion? Maybe it's become out of fashion because clubs have become out of fashion with the fans. "Players will not stop their cars to sign autographs". "No standing allowed". £60 tickets. "Vardy signs £100K a week deal" .
uragomper Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 2 more dreadful performances and he's a gonna

The owners won't allow this club, which achieved one of the greatest feats in football history, become a laughing stock and/or get relegated. It's their money after all. You might lack any sort of ambition, they don't. And I'm pretty sure the staff, the fans and some players too. It was. The perfect occasion to get the club a bit higher. You were about to sign A. Silva (well now it will indeed never happen). With him and Mendy on the pitch it would have been a whole other story and you'd be now singing another song. Sadly the recruiting went south. Love the understatement there. Beside Slimani, who indeed is lethal with a decent service, and Mendy sadly injured the whole time, not a single signing did give any real sign of satisfaction. Not.a.single.one. Some of them didn't even make it to the bench. Not PL ready. LOL. Pushing forward, becoming better is the natural way of things. There's no such things as eternal mediocrity. When you see an opportunity, go for it. Don't sit down with your thumbs up your ass and watch the train go by, thinking "Meh, it wasn't meant for me anyway". About sums up LJS's nonsense. I won't bother elaborating. Good post.

Great Boos Up Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 I was absolutely furious when Pearson was sacked, but to sack Claudio would send me over the edge. I've not been his biggest fan even last year but some things are morally wrong. He took us to the title> I could argue that he stepped in at the right time and place and could back that up with my view point but I won't. I've been stewing on this for weeks to let it sink in. I'm angry but am willing to go down a division "which I think we will" and understand that we are back where we started with a f'in great notch on our bedpost.
STUHILL Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 I am as concerned as anyone about our current form and complete lack of any signs of improvement, but Claudio and this team achieved and absolute miracle last season, and we are not even half way through this season! He deserves the Janaury transfer window to change things. He must be as perplexed as us, on why every single player is failing so badly and judging by the comments he made last night, he has run out of patience with a certain number of players. If, after the January window passes and even with new signings, our woeful form and performances continue, then we get Big Sam in to grind out the wins needed to survive. I actually have more faith in Claudio, than a lot of these players at the moment and would be happier to get rid of a number of them right now and bring in new ones, rather than ditch the manager. That will have to wait until January though, and I hope the scouts are working their butts off and we are given the money to get some quality in. Will become more difficult if we can't pick up some wins and edge away from the relegation zone though, as what top players will want to join a club that has a good chance of being relegated.
Vestan Pance Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 7 hours ago, LJS said: Why do you assume that we have very good players playing beneath themselves rather than very average players who played miles above themselves last season? You can't take last season as the yardstick. It's unscientific (insofar as science can be applied) to use the anomaly as the norm. You take the majority of evidence as the yardstick. The majority of evidence is the whole of the players' careers. We have a mix of players ranging from lower end top flight to middling second division. Last season was the anomaly. The great climb to heights never suggested by anything these players had ever done before. This season is the reversion to the mean. I'm afraid you could be right, but that theory does make the club look rather silly for not only not selling some of those players when their stock was high after they'd all had their anomoly season, but also multiplying salaries of what the theory suggests are lower level premier league players.
dannythefox Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 He'll still be here till at least the 18th because that's when SPOTY is and there's no way the owners would sack him when he gets manager/ team of the year award. The club is a business now and that would look terrible on the owners. Also it would probably be hodgson as he's the nice gentleman that would promote the business just like Raniari has done.
Tuna Posted 8 December 2016 Author Posted 8 December 2016 It horrifies me how many fans are willing to accept relegation and put it down to karma. Just incredible.

When confident, Vardy is a goal scoring machine...we've seen it When given a free role, Mahrez is class...we've seen it When supported, Drinkwater is one of the best English central midfielders...we've seen it. Slim is a 30mill quid striker....we've seen he can be lethal. One of the reasons for contemplating a change of manager is if we think someone else can get better out of these players than Claudio. Not last season...he did....but THIS season. To be getting so little out of such good players (don't say they are crap...we've seen they aren't) is not acceptable. Why Pearson remained in a job and did the great escape was because, in the end (it took a lot of working out), he managed to get his best players firing. Cambiasso, Vardy, even Schlupp! The question is this then...given we have some very good players, are you confident that Ranieri THIS season can get the best out of them? Wind it in Col, you are more trigger happy than Milan Manderic. Have you ever backed a manager through a rough patch?
Wymsey Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Wish the word 'Pearson' gets filtered on here. Swear it's a reoccurring word daily and quite pointless as he's the past and not a good role model to reflect back on.

Winning the Premier League and qualifying for the champions league and champions league knockout stages does tend to be good for business yes. And who knows, winning a manager of the year award might be because hes a good manager? Just a hunch of course. #fvckcorporatefootball #fvcksuccess

God it's boring having every thread turned into the same argument about Pearson. Pretty childish that the same people always have to put their exact same point across everytime his name is mentioned.

We have more to lose if we go down though this time. A lot of the player are on 80K + a week contracts and it would destroy the club.

Ive already quoted this post once. I just dont get it Sports all about winning things right? we want to see Leicester win trophies right? So we actually do go and win a massive trophy, and youre sitting around unhappy that the manager was promoting the club like a business? What do you want? would it have helped if he said everyone connected with the Premier League is a cvnt as he lifted the trophy, would that have been better?

Donut Posted 8 December 2016 Posted 8 December 2016 Sacking Ranieri would set one hell of a precedent for future managers.

I don't know if he will be able to turn it around and I don't know the reasons he hasn't adjusted his tactics but the guy took us into dreamland and beyond last May. Surely if anybody deserves a season or even a god damn transfer window to rectify a problem, it's this man? People are sharpening their knives before the midpoint of the season and we aren't even in the bottom three. I'm ashamed to be associated with this bunch of fickle, ungrateful shitbags. We are all frustrated but this is just shameful.
