I think the 442 tactics admission Ranieri made in the interview after Man City was a positive personally, but i can see how its being viewed as a negative.

Its put the onus on the players. Theyre the ones who said no, we think this formation is the best to use, we just have to make it work better. It was like the players were owning up to the fact that they havent done nearly enough.

I wish they would because talk is cheap.

Aye good points made there. Formation talk is pointless because everyone knows players havn't done enough.

Leicester manager Claudio Ranieri: "The result is too severe against us because we created more chances than Bournemouth. I wanted a little more in the first half. A little more and we can score goals, recover more second balls. The second half was much better. If we continue to fight at this level, sooner or later we will get a good result."

(vid at end)

"pleased with the performance"

"we deserved a draw"

Worrying times is these things are really felt by the manager behind closed doors, the press can see the performance stunk the place out yet CR complimentary as ever,

We did deserve a draw though. Bournemouth were utter cack, just passed it sideways until they lost it, got it back at CB and repeat. If Zieler had a strong right hand that finishes a dull nil-nil.

if you think they were "utter cack" in the first half, how do you summarize Leicesters first half performance???

You didn't comment on him being pleased by the performance, even the interviewer has to clarify that CR is pleased by what he just saw

We weren't great either, as I said the difference between the sides was boruc was strong, Zieler wasn't, and that's all the stopped it being a dull nil-nil.

Yes Claudio picked the team the formation but he doesn't kick a ball on the pitch chase the ball hoof the ball !!

its mainly up to the players we have maybe Keane is right about too bigger wages clouding their performances as ahh I get 100k plus a week I don't have to try as hard anymore or is it the players we have suddenly are just not good enough ??

But our jekyl and Hyde performances one week to the next seems to be our biggest moan we play superb against Manchester City and crap against Bournemouth why the fook who knows is it the bigger club bigger performance syndrome well Bournemouth certainly took their chance and beat us last night they saw us as the bigger club the champions and went all out we saw Bournemouth the little club and played awful and not with gusto or heart !!

But then now is the how long do we give Claudio brigade piping up with we're doomed we're relegated are we fook !

Who is going to take over from Claudio as most of you outers seem to have forgotten what this guy did for us on our dream of a season who cares if it was a fluke we defied the odds 5000-1 and win the fooking premiership title which gave us CL football too, that we have achieved more than we dreamed we could by reaching the final 16 !!

I believe Claudio will turn tings around and get our jekyl and Hyde Buggers back winning and picking up the wins and don't forget what this guy has done for us and 1 blip and you want him out the door, Don't wish too hard otherwise you might get something that could be disastrous for the club !!

and if one more person mentions Nigel Ostrich Fooking Pearson to take over from him I just might ask Negan if I can borrow Lucille from him !!

Lets just calm down there was no way we're going to replicate last season we won't go down we won't fail and who knows we could go on and win the fooking champions League too !!

onwards and upwards and in Claudio we trust !!

I take just about every word said in public by CR as a smokescreen - reacting to it is pretty pointless, he's hardly going to show his true hand in public. Thank goodness he doesn't come out and slag all and sundry off to the press...........

Agree. Same last season, he is a master. Remember the questions about Vardy missing the Swansea game in the press conference? Simply avoids controversy by launching into the ' you speak of blah blah blah, but man, we're in champions league, dilly ding etc.

never slag off your team in public (in any line of work for that matter)

Can Claudio at least call out this game as bs in his post match interview?

Abuse the ref, be charged a fine, show some passion, the players have lost their heads a bit, do so yourself a little please. Call the ref an ostrich.

Looks like the players have JUST bought Ranieri a bit more time.

They certainly don't look like they aren't bothered, but that was close today.

Fine margins.

Amartey might have just kept the Don in a job a little longer.

And I DID NOT ever expect to say that!

Just go take a cold shower guys and think for a second about the rubbish that's being posted.

You want to be glad we just equalized. This place would be very different if we hadn't. The Amartey goal was very important for the teams morale AND for Foxes Talk. It will enable people to now say that he's brilliant again (read the thread) and that we are fine.

It was an amazing comeback but if Kasper hadn't been on great form again, it would have been curtains after around 70 mins.

Its a tightrope, Spud, it's a fookin tightrope.

First time you've piped up in about a fortnight.

You simply wait until we don't lose until you post.

Ranieri helps deliver a major trophy and they suddenly think we're Real Madrid.

Need to have a bit of reflection. If a team like Sunderland did what we did and their fans were calling for the manager's head after a couple months, we'd call them ungrateful and a joke.

I can't believe what I'm reading here.

I have felt the need to register just to have my say, as a lover of sport and as a lover of football.

Make no mistake the Leicester City Premier League win of 2015/2016, is the greatest sporting achievement in history. Bigger than Buster Douglas flattening Mike Tyson or The Miracle On Ice at The Olympics and it happened in the sport we all love. Not only that it gave hope to all the lower league fans out there. The ones like us who support our home team and put up with the downright misery and ridicule when at times the word 'glory' is just something that happens to other teams, normally those with plenty of money.

Your story was always much bigger than just being about Leicester City, your victory was for football fans everywhere.

And then there was Claudio Ranieri 'The Tinkerman' formerly of Chelsea, who took over a tough, battling Nigel Pearson squad and had the task of just keeping you up. His expertise was such that he identified early on that the players were good enough to stay up and there wasn't much wrong, nothing that a tweak here and there wouldn't resolve.

What happened next was unprecedented (and this word is important to remember).

He managed to keep the winning spirit alive, calmly going about his business, keeping the players focused (Christ, how excited must they have been in the early Spring?). It was a masterclass in leadership, management and belief, whilst all the time remaining a true gentleman and a role model for every single person in the game, from Sunday League and kids football to all those FIFA types who need a lesson in how the game should be run. Claudio Ranieri did something truly miraculous and a 1000 years from now, if we all survive, this story will still be remembered in the world of sport.

This season was always going to be the hangover after the party. The greatest party in history (let's not forget that). And it comes back to that word 'unprecedented'. Extreme media attention, players suddenly in mega-demand, did anyone even have a holiday? Vardy even took part in that European Championship shambles. It's no wonder things have been unsettled, this whole situation of 5000/1 outsiders winning a year long competition, is 'unprecedented' in the world of sport.

But still, given even those extreme circumstances, Ranieri has got your team to the last 16 of the CL, and do you know what? You have a bloody good chance of winning it! You have a chance of pulling off what might be an even greater shock. There is a real chance here that your players have the same underdog zest towards this competition as they did the PL last year and quite possibly your European rivals have completely underestimated your chances as did the Premiership elite last season.

YOU CAN DO IT!!!!

You will stay up, you will probably finish in the top 10, and after this season and the dust has settled, the unprecedented extremities of this season will be gone and you can get on with becoming Leicester City again.

But do it with Claudio still at the helm. You may never win the title again, but football will never forgive you if you let him go. You'd feel 'dirty', like you'd committed an act of treachery. Much like what the country felt when Winston Churchill was voted out of power. This would linger over your club and turn sour everything you've achieved in this truly great year for your club and for English football.

What's needed now is support and to have fun with what's left with the rest of the season. You really should be having the times of your lives at the moment and instead you're arguing amongst yourselves about the future of the greatest manager you've ever had, less than a year after pulling off the greatest shock of all time.

To the rest of football this all appears utterly bonkers.

COME ON THE FOXES!!!  Well, I'll say it even if some of you guys won't!

COME ON THE FOXES!!!  Well, I'll say it even if some of you guys won't!

Top Post, and welcome to the forums! It is worth repeating - the way LCFC won the league was a victory for football, for the people and for the underdog. Chelsea will probably smash it this year, but no one will care in a few years time. People will still talk about our victory 10 years, 50 years, maybe even 100 years from now. Champions of England...5000-1!!!

Want to say today that I thought Ranieri was brilliant. Not only with his subs but because he actually lost his cool! Maybe the pressure is getting to him, but to me it means a lot. It shows how much he cares and I think shows how much he loves our club and the players we have. The fact that Kasper and Mahrez had to go over to cool him down was for me equally brilliant! These guys have been through something incredible with each other and they support each other through thick and thin. His antics today reminded me of Martin O'Neil and I mean that as a compliment. Look at how Amartey and even Gray celebrate the equalizer, that is an awesome sign if the youth coming through feel like that, because hopefully it will be Ranieri that develops them!

We've been pants this season but there are signs now we are improving. Even the loss against Bournemouth was a narrow one and we could have snatched a draw. This will be a fight to the end like two years ago. But I really hope Ranieri is the one to get us out of it and lead us beyond. He's a gentleman, a scholar and an absolute legend!
