Family and friends and what they think.

Just spoken to my 85 year old mother, who likes Leicester because her sons and grandchildren are all Leicester mad. She said to me " I stayed up to watch them on TV the other night (MOD), it was quite late, they were last ones on, I don't know why I bothered, it wasn't worth it, they were useless, so I went to bed".

Just about says it all I think. We could do with my (long gone, bless her) grandmother in the dressing room, she would have just slapped them all and told them not to come back till they'd won. Maybe we just over think things a bit, just get out there and win FFS.

Reckon the ref's whistle might've had something to say about that pal...

Corporal punishment for lazy or under performing players could be the way forward. I've always thought that having Steve Walsh (the ex player) in the dressing room at half time to 'cuff' the worst offenders would be a very positive move.

My 5 year old nephew cried during the Middlesborough game (to be fair, he probably wasn't the only city fan crying at that game!) because they were "Cheating and pushing the Leicester players over and not letting them score"

My wife asks me why I bother, when every week I come home and say we were shite, and then proceed to be in my post loss sulk.

I have to explain, I go in the hope it changes, and as she's not a football fan, she doesn't get why the results affect your day.

Must admit though, when we are on tv, and how poor we are, I am tempted to sit it out Sunday, I won't, but tempted.

Living in Norwich and being the only family member that supports Leicester, it was a magic year for me. My son is nuts about Norwich and didn't want to speak to me for a week after our late, late show....and my Grandson and Son - In - Law live about 1 mile from the Baggies ground, however, both are lifelong Villa supporters and ST holders, and again, I wasn't popular with either when I phoned to "casually mention" how Villa had thrown away a 2 goal lead lol . I must say that the family supporting other clubs handed me an added bonus within the Family last season...but this season is another matter ....both are goading me about us passing at the end of the season and avoiding the "Family Derby's" whilst they will be premiership and we will be championship......I'm dreading it.

It was good to hear my grandson say that Leicester City supporters were the best he'd ever heard. He's started doing a degree course at the Etihad this year....but even though he's in a plastic stadium, he won't change his allegiance to Man C. I would like at least one more season of us "holding the Family High Ground"

My other half is from Liverpool but she wasn't hugely into football until we met. She got on the bandwagon during our first season in the Prem, got her tickets to a couple of matches and was delighted we stayed up so I got her a gold third kit which she wears a lot. Then last year she was obviously loving it and basked in being a Leicester at work etc but decided to jointly support Liverpool as well since her Dad was annoyed she started supporting Leicester. This season she's taking less interest as I think watching the run-in on TV with me killed her last year as I was so uptight and don't think it was enjoyable for her in all fairness! But to be fair she'll still watch a game with me on the box and knows all the players well (she loves Vardy...) and I'll try to take her back to the KP next year to rekindle her interest a bit as getting tickets without a ST might actually be possible as the plastics drift away........

At least us being rubbish has some perks, away tickets are easier to get.

My girlfriend hates it when I scream "VARDYYYYYYYYYY!" whilst imagining last season's goal against Liverpool as I climax.

Missus can't believe we haven't made more of the position we were in

Not to be back-to-back title winners or anything, but to secure ourselves towards the right end of the table for the forseeable future

She bought into Ranieri's concentrating on the Champions League bullshit hook, line & sinker too

not sure even Walshie would try it with Wasa.

My wife has her own opinions on City, since taking her to Bramall Lane  to see our reserves play SUFC reserves, on one of our first dates.

She's a realist, tells me we're back where we should be, as Leicester we should be happy with mid-table.

My missus did query my amazingly positive moods and looks of euphoria last season as we were beating the likes of Liverpool, Man City and Chelsea. I almost felt like she was getting jealous that she cant make me smile to those lengths lol

I can genuinely say that the fun I had as a City fan last season will give our team a free pass to do what the hell they want for years, I really dont care. I suppose its the feeling that Shane Warne often gets when he sits down in his rocking chair, trying to find a comfy position so his hair doesnt fall out and his plastic face starts melting reminiscing of the Liz Hurley years and how he managed to be with her.

Standard 5pm ritual on a Saturday -

Mum: They lost again?

Me: Yes

Mum: What's going on man?

Me: Where shall I start?

Same again this Saturday, at the slightly later time of 8pm.

For those who are badly affected by the results, I came upon this perfect age old remedy.

"Go thee forth unto a place of stones, and fill a strong sack. Take thee a rope, and drag the aforesaid sack onto ye old town bridge, over the river, and carefully tie ye one end of rope around thy neck  and the other end around the sack, which ye must place on parapet. Climb ye up, and lift the sack. Shut thy eyes, and take one pace forward. Thy troubled heart will soon be unburdened. Tis best done in the dark, before cock crow!"

My partner couldn't give a flying shit. She didn't understand them winning the league last year and how big of a deal it was. She had a face like a bulldog chewing a wasp when I went to the trophy parade.
