During October he got a run on the left wing and looked fairly good (2 goals and an assist in three games was it?) but last night he was all over the place. Don't know why he was playing on the right, but even that can't excuse his decision making.

Disagree with that, when he played on the left earlier in the season he was really quite good defensively and tracked back well. It was only when he went off and Gray came on that the oppo' had more joy down that side (thinking Swansea game). His defensive stats are better than Gray also, hence why before the game I said I understood Ranieri's thinking, but didn't particularly agree as he's woefully out of form.

There is no getting away from the fact we was pretty bloody awful last night, but again I'm not going to judge any of the new signings properly until we actually see some old players perform as well. Currently they are all playing in a completely dysfunctional unit and you could only pick out a couple of players who are showing anything (N'Didi, Gray, Simpson, Kasper) but other than Kasper they are all still making mistakes and only really playing about average.

He does love to drive forwards....and then run it out of play.

Just imagine what might have gone wrong if we'd actually signed him in January 2016 for our title rub in as we tried to do.....

Ridiculous, coming into a team full of confidence working well is totally different to playing in a team with zero confidence and set up to fail over and over again.

Not just Musa, but every single player is under so much pressure to produce when the ball arrives to them as there are virtually no options. Some people can deal with it, some people can't and he clearly can't. Bit like DD and others who treat the ball like a hot potato and smack it away first chance they get.... you can see the fear in so many of them.

Gray is one of the few who seems to relish it, he's a greedy bugger anyway and I think he enjoys trying to do it all by himself. Fair play to him, it looks our only threat at times.

Agree. There are no passes on most of the time we get the ball. We need more attacking full backs to help with this but currently would obviously leave our OAP CBs overexposed.

Lazy.  Unintelligent.  Weak.  No control.  Worse than average shooting ability.  Can't read the game.  Doesn't know which runs to make.  Can't link up with the midfield.  Can't pass.  Doesn't use his pace to any kind of advantage.  Doesn't mark his man.  Doesn't track back.

I could easily go on.

Agree.

He's played out of position and is desperately low on confidence.

His performance suggested (lack of effort) that he didn't want to play in that position. He was absolutely abysmal.

We probably aren't the right team for him. Does that mean he is shit? Not necessarily.

Watching Radamel Falcao yesterday against Man City was unbelievable. Was this the same player who had such a terrible time last year?

I think the same can be said for Musa. Put him in a different team and he'll probably do a lot better. It's just not happening for him at Leicester.

I agree. Falcao was fantastic against Man City. Where was that Falcao at United and Chelsea. Some players suit some teams. Musa might do well somewhere else.

He's still a shocking footballer. When he ran the ball out of play for a goal kick, that summer Musa up.

You've just described most of our players.

As ever,  I'm struck by how much some of you really hate our players, given any opportunity.

Some people hate all of them, judging by the language they use. Do you not get bored of endless threads where players get slagged?

You see that week in week out. More concerned with his terrible decision making, which showed someone massively short of confidence to me.  He just wanted rid of the ball, first half he's got just him and the full back with so much pitch for him to play with and he just did some woeful "cross" into the box to Vardy who had about 4 people around him.

Why they calling him all the names under the sun then? Once again, it possible to be critical of performance without being total dicks about it.

I've never really read it like that to be honest I always thought a lot of the exaggerating was quite tongue in cheek.

I don't hate him (just so all the day-tripping, do-gooders don't get too offended).
He's probably a nice bloke.
What I'm more annoyed about is the fact my title-winning team decided to blow £16m on this guy and expected him to both fit in and add significant value to our squad.  Someone at board-level seriously decided to throw that money on this type of player.  At a time where we could add real quality and help build our squad, we end up with the likes of Musa.  On top of that, Ranieri decided to drop our most in-form player (Gray) for him last night.

So it's really about hating our scouting system and manager's tactics.

I'd never boo Musa, but I'm certainly frustrated that he's in our starting 11.

I feel a bit sorry for him cos we dont even know his best position. He had a good spell in October on the left and he scored twice up front at Everton. But he can't even get the basics right (control, pass etc). His decision making is also abysmal.

Mahrez, Drinkwater etc are playing poorly but at least they know how to do the basics right - and under the right coach can go up a level.

For some I'm sure you're right. But some people like to hate anything and anyone, anything that displeases them. The match threads aren't a healthy display of mindset, for example...

And that's completely fair enough, but the bit about causing offence is nonsense. I'm not offended, and if I was it's irrelevant. I'm just intolerant of hatred.
