Since the signing of Musa I've been an advocate of him, but to me he just looks like he is low on confidence going forward. He can be excellent going forward with his pace and I feel we haven't seen the best of him, but what he was showing at CSKA isn't quite happening here, yet.

I agree with @Babylon though, and he speaks a lot of sense I find. I'd prefer to judge our signings when the rest of the team is playing good football and in form. It's obviously going to be difficult coming into an underperforming side and I feel many of our summer signings have had that issue. I'm not suggesting our signings haven't impressed, but I'd like to see how they would integrate if we had momentum like we did from April 2015 - May 2016.

He's not "Shite" and he certainly isn't Akinbiyi!

He's inconsistent, he's playing in about 4 different positions a week, in a team that doesn't know where to find him.

At least he's trying.

Back when we were trying to sign him, everyone was wetting themselves at the thought of his blistering pace alongside Vardy, ripping defences to pieces. Hasn't happened yet - doesn't mean it can't given time and confidence.

I didn't pay him to say this.... well not much.

High on speed low on confidence. Best position looks to be central. Just looks lost at the moment and raner's doesn't seem to know where best to play him.

Young and and has great potential. Keep saying it but we have the nucleus of a potentially very good young side.

I don't know what they do with their time after training but if he wants to be a player he needs to be shown some DVD's of his performances and be asked WTF? He has a reluctance to use his pace when he finds himself in a good position, the kind of position to take someone on not necessarily needing skill just drive the ball past the defender and chase and do the man over 10 yards or so (the one thing Schlupp was decent at), yet at other times he tries a back heel or trick in his own half where losing it could be critical, he really is like a human form of a FIFA player who is being operated by a four year old. A four year old who isn't even looking at the screen.

Well worth the 15m outlay then.

Musa really had nothing except a short burst of speed - zero dribbling skills & zero ball trapping ability

Last year i said his signing from Russian League is a mistake.. the best signing so far appears to be Ndindi - the rest are just rubbish

the price we payed for him was a complete joke! he isn't even worth a quarter of what we payed!. he needs coaching and educating on how to play the game and how to get the best out of him which clearly isn't being done!

He was not trying enough last night defensively and his technical ability is very poor.

Newsflash:

he's been here 7 months which is long enough to become acclimatised.

We are in in danger of relegation and we need people do do a job NOW.

How long do you want us watch / put up with that shit he's produced - given our position?

Playing poor or terrible out of form players is why we are where we are in the league.

Enough is enough.

He's very frustrating.

Does the same things/mistakes and never seems to learn from them.

Should've been an athlete with his pace, as his technical awareness is poor.

It's worrying that most of our signings since Ranieri's arrival have been so poor. Gray and Ndidi look good. Jury is still out on Slimani and Amartey.

Hernandez

Benalouane

Musa

Mendy

Kapustka

Wague

None of those have contributed anything to our team. That's  £42m right there btw.

I'm not sure he's suggesting we should play him all the time. But with every player out there we expect more than they are currently showing. If they are playing under their ability, then it's possible he is also... so perhaps we should wait and see. Hopefully the current manager or another one can start getting the best out of players rather than the worst.

I've not even seen anything from Musa technically to suggest he is "playing under ability".

His first touch is abysmal and he doesn't even seem to connect with the ball when passing and shooting. That's before even getting started on his inability come to the ball.

Of those the Ranieri signings are probably not too bad despite not having been given much game time.

Namely:

Benny, Kaputska, Gray, Ndidi, Mendy.

It it strikes me that the first four should be playing based on what we have seen.

Ie, Slimani, Amartey and Musa and I think Hernandez where Walsh signings.

Would you if you'd only seen Vardy, Drinkwater or Mahrez this season? All you've got to judge him on is him being chucked directly into an appalling team. If seasoned performers in this league are showing nothing, does it not make you think the problem is bigger than the individual?

I'm not suggesting he's ever going to be amazing, but I've seen him score 4 very good goals for us and another two that he did well to get on the end of. I thought he did well in several games where he started on the left, defending and attacking well. But yes, I've also seen him have some stinkers... which leads me to believe he's the inconsistent player capable of some good stuff that we were told about.

Both Kapuskta and Ndidi have been chucked into the same appalling team and have looked decent.

As I said in my post, Musa doesn't even get the basics right. There are players in League Two with a better first touch than him.

I think he tries - I cannot fault him for that - and I think he does work to win the ball back at times but he simply isn't good enough. His pace has obviously made him into a winger because it cannot be due to his technical ability.
