He shouldn't start next game because Fuchs is out.

I agree but over 90 mins he gives us very little not going forward in terms of his concentration and marking, which has avoidable lapses - which is why he's being blooded in slowly.

I'd sooner see him play from the start and accept he lapses occasionally defensively, we seem to be conceding 2 goals a game anyway with more defensive minded wingers and often have not offered much attacking threat in a number of games, at least Gray runs at the opposition and gives us something different, he's the future and I'd be so disappointed if he leaves so early in his career with us.

This is bang on.  I'd like to see him start then on 65/70min bring albrighton on not the other way round. Grey is the only direct winger we have.

It's time to give him a start. Plus with him on the left and Mahrez on the right it would change the dynamic of the Team. At the moment we're to predictable.

We can't play Gray and Mahrez on both flanks while playing 442. We witnessed this vs Hull.

Only way we can accommodate the two, is playing 4312 with Gray as a right sided striker (did this for England U21 and tore Italy to shreds) and Mahrez as a mobile CAM.

You said it yourself. We are conceding 2 goals a game already. And it will be worse if we had him starting now. Just wait a game or two and then start him. But not now.

That formation is to narrow. Both full backs will have to give us width(which they don't).

The formation did quite well on Saturday, when he made the adjustment before the red. But with Chilwell it does carry risk, granted.

We have the midfield to do it(Amartey and Drinky have great stamina) but I don't think we have the full backs to offer us width going forward.

Fuchs possibly, Simpson 100% agree

You can't base conclusions on a single match, especially the Hull game, when the whole squad was unprepared and unfit.

I thought the Stoke game, second half, showed how effective we could be when we adopted a more attacking approach. Interesting to note that it was the most effective form of defence we have adopted this season (no goals conceded, even with 10 men)!

Can't think of another winger with his age and ability (though there's probably plenty out there) that we could attract to the club. Wouldn't dream of selling him no matter what the price offered.

Can't wait till we have a manager that let's him have a proper run in the team, he's going to a great player in this league for years to come.

Totally agree with this. Gray should not be sold under any circumstances. He will be playing for England in the future.

Is this Transfer Talk thread supposed to be about the possibility of Gray going to Everton? Or is it about our team selection and formation?

It's all connected though, him not being in the starting 11 increases the chances of him moving on, I want him to start, I want him to stay.

He's already got better technique than sterling.
