Demarai Gray - Everton

Surely he was bought as back up to Mahrez fortunately for us he never got injured, if he'd  have gone on loan I believe  there's  no recall option.

Absolutely, there in lies another problem (I would have added but didn't want my reply to go on forever!)

We've had a woefully small squad for a couple of seasons now, in terms of good quality back up, to the point where Vardy could genuinely end up on the right of midfield in January if anything happened to DG or Albrighton.

What a ridiculous thing to say. How on earth do you know he'd act like Berahino if this 'supposed' transfer bid takes place and we reject it

What's so ridiculous about it? Have you not seen his posts? Lets wait and see if a bid from Everton comes in I guarantee he'll kick up a stink, probably not on the berahino scale that comment was a bit tongue and cheek

If he's not happy being a bit part player why would he go to Everton to be a bit part player?

I don't see it happening.

against a packed defence he is useless.

Yes agree, I don't see why people rate him so highly! Is it because he's a 'maverick'?

He reminds me of Cristiano Ronaldo in that sense, without the same ability of course. His playing style seems very similar to him also, so probably someone he looks up to.

I'm interested that somebody else noticed this - even the way he stands and moves is very similar to Ronaldo.

He's a real talent and he's the type of player who would flourish somewhere with regular game time. I feel he will get that here, but it's just when. I can see the link with Everton.

Just hope we don't block the move like we did with Schlupp & West Brom. I'm all for keeping Gray but if he did want to move, so be it.

That's the same for Schlupp too and it's what I mentioned in the summer. Schlupp wanted the move to WBA and I was concerned at the time at our apparent blocking of the transfer, thus making the player unhappy. That seems to be the case with Jeff and we don't want that with Gray.

The way I see it - if players want to move, it shouldn't be stopped in my opinion, otherwise you run the risk of keeping players at the club who are discontented, which is not the idea.

Yeah exactly....if only he was as good as him lol

He needs to learn it's  a team game and not keep going for solo glory. When he then loses the ball he needs to get back in the game rather than standing there feeling sorry for himself which he does more than he should.

Can you really blame him when even when he comes on and looks class he still gets overlooked? He must be thinking he needs to skin the whole team and rabonna it in the top corner from the halfway line just so he comes off the bench with more than 15 minutes to go.

Personally just see this as click-bait. An example of a media story without much substance to try and unsettle a player.

If he does go, would trying to sign someone like Ashley Young (experienced but getting on a bit) be a slight risk to pursue?

He's just going to become another overhyped English kid. The less of them we have, the better.

I'd rather have an under appreciated Drinkwater, Albrighton & Simpson any day.

I've noticed this. The way he struts around the pitch is very Ronaldo-esque.

He might have to learn to put a decent cross or shot in first.

If we replace Gray with that diving cheat I'll go mental.

He tracked back less than Mahrez does in games on Wednesday. If he plays like that, he won't be anywhere near the starting XI.

He either needs to work harder at his defensive side or play as a number 10. Wouldn't want him to leave as I do think he has great potential, just needs to work on his attitude a little.

I think if he went he would be a big loss. Not because he is amazing at the minute but because he shows great potential. He comes on and proves himself time after time yet rarely ever features from the start.

Next season we wont be Premier League champions and we wont be in Europe. Take them things away and the appeal of Leicester City soon goes, especially if you have the opportunity of first team football elsewhere.

He will be one of the first ones to leave if we are relegated. Not because of the club, but because of his own Ego. He comes across as very arrogant however i do actually like that about him. He never seems nervous and always brings some excitement and hope to the otherwise lackluster team.

I am sure like a lot of our young players he is annoyed by his lack of game time. when he does come on he tries to get involved and do something. he is an talented player who was playing all the time at his other club and needs developing in the right way. he has a lot to offer and we need to let him play. if he can work on all parts of his game he will be a top player. we seem to have signed all these players without a thought how they would fit in and what they can bring to the team and that is just poor management and recruitment

he is 20 years old? granted we are not nurturing him well, but his poteinial is massive.

People talk about potential but he isn't going to become that much better than he already is. He had the potential when he was about 16. The difference between 20 and 24 is neither here nor there for him as he's played about 100 professional games, how long does he need to start showing this 'massive potential'?

I get that he's a young Englishman with bags of flair, but he's not the next Mahrez. I think that £20m is ripping Everton off.

I'm at crossroads with him. If he wants to go then i'd let him go but I think that he needs knocking down a peg or two and a big money move to a big team won't help that. He needs to knuckle down and prove his obvious ability week in week out here IMO.

There is no middle ground on here sometimes.

He's either a work shy willy puller who is just Berahino waiting to happen or he's absolutely incredible and should be starting here before he goes to Everton and starts there.

He's a young lad with potential who needs to work really hard to improve his all round game, hopefully people will give him time without being at either end of the extremes that I constantly read.
