He is a decent player for us (although I think often he stands too far off attackers when they are about to cross). But I find it very silly that he would have sent that tweet. He should be more aware of it's potential implications. You have to question what the club has done re. social media education for these guys It isn't up to the club to police grown men, but they really do need to ensure they protect their image.

Sorry your going to have to enlighten me.

Which part of that story makes you think he is a scumbag? I'd be pissed off if I didn't get to speak to my daughter on my Birthday.....admittedly I haven't assaulted my missus but he been handed his punishment for that....albeit that didn't really work out but that's not his fault.

In fairness he seems to spend every other bloody day with his daughter if you look at his Social Media.

The lad has been out drinking for the last two days (which yes is fine.. it's his birthday he has a life...) and clearly got drunk and chatted shit on twitter.

Her responses I felt are measured and calm in fairness, she's quite clearly displaying she's done everything she can to keep things normal and he's got no response to it.

Dick move from a dick head, yes he's done well for us, but as I said at the start of last season the sooner we find a replacement the better, the only reason he is still here is because we haven't.

The amount of sympathetic enabling on here is incredible at times (not you @Manwell Pablo I just quoted you to make the point about the amount he sees his daughter)

Ashamed to have him at the club? get real! what he did was wrong but he is a solid right back that helped us win the bloody league.

Idgaf about his footballing ability or lack thereof. If that's enough to help you cheer on a woman beater that's your prerogative.

They've probably done sod all but that'll be mainly down to the fact they're only just working out how to do it themselves (i'm biased.. it's my industry..) The difference between ourselves and Manchester City digitally is as if we're in League 2.

How can you say he has a lack of footballing abilty? Probably our best ever right back, our most consistent defender so far this season. Yes he had a lot of baggage but thats his personal life, i dont know him personally like i dont know anyone else who players for LCFC personally so who am I and you to judge him outside of the club, he has been a top professional for us and been absolute bargain at what about a million quid?! name another league winning right back you could get for that?!

Get off your high horse about his personal life he has does wrong like many other footballers he has been purnished correctly and done his time. Wes Morgan is banned for drink driving currently which to me is disgusting and totally irresponsible for a millionnaire but i dont go shouting about that he is a scum bag and a ashamed to have him at the club.

Please offer your services to them!

Mind you, as I said, it shouldn't be up to the club to monitor grown men's social media. I try to make sure that I am careful on social media (FT aside!) as I don't want any repercussions in my personal or work life. That just seems logical.

Just out of interest do you have a problem cheering on a convicted "irresponsible" driver and a racist.

Honestly, how long will this guys mediocre footballing ability protect him?

He's an absolute scumbag. Ashamed to have him at our club.

Yeah he's a dick but it's also not anyone's business and it definitely isn't ****ing news. God, I hate the tabloids.

I don't think the amount he see's her is really the point, I see mine pretty much every day, I'd still be annoyed if I didn't speak to her on a landmark birthday for no good reason. No need to put it on Twitter granted but I don't see what part of this particular incident makes him look like a "scumbag" that needs to be sacked, he is merely having a moan. It is hardly the crime on the century. Again I'm not criticising her either, nothing wrong with her response, just two people having a spat, as I said, I don't even know why anyone on here cares.

You are right about that though.

What really is a shame is the battle for the daughters attention being a public shaming exercise on twitter.

Sadly, parents are not thinking of the child when they do this.

Are you sure about this?

well yeah, couldnt name another that has won the premier league to be honest.... I did put probably and there is probably a couple that are better but i wouldnt say there is many that have preformed consistanly as well as Simpson has.

Served his time and entitled to show he hass changed and is no longer a threat to women, but ask yourself, how would you feel if Danny simpson was dating your daughter

Simpson has been solid for us and I won't say a bad word about his footballing career at Leicester but two grown people (whoever it may be) arguing over social media, especially over their child, is the weirdest thing.

Yeah and I'd have to find one video.

Which would be missing the point.

I'm pretty sure if Shinji Okazaki felt Vardy had a problem with the Japanese, we'd know about it.

I don't think there's any evidence to suggest Vardy is genuinely racist. Ignorant? A bit thick? Yeah, no doubt. But harbouring a deeply seeded hatred of east Asians? Not likely.

Given some of us spent almost a year constantly trying to explain to Leicester fans (who were just too thick to understand the difference between Korea and Japan, not whom were genuine xenophobes) that singing that Yuki Abe eats dogs was racist, it's not much of a stretch to imagine Vardy (who was ****ing shitfaced by all accounts anyway) is just more stupid than genuinely hateful.

I'm not defending him because he's our player, if it came out he was some card carrying national front supporter then I'd want him out quick smart.

I just always felt the racism claim was hilariously overblown given he had a Japanese strike partner at the time who couldn't give a ****.

I'm sorry being drunk is not an excuse for anything ever lol

It would exactly be the point.

I'm pretty sure if Danny Simpson was actually a danger to women he'd struggle to get quite so many.

The intent is irrelevant his actions are racist. Obviously I know it was down to the fact he is dumb and twatted, I think you need to take my comments in the context of the thread and the point I am trying to make that perhaps if the club are willing to keep Danny Simpson who clearly made a mistake but now he's had his punishment and the club didn't dismiss him perhaps it might be an idea to get your knickers in a twist given some of the "drunken mistakes" of some our other title winning players include, theft, affray, racism , and driving after being up for 24 hours and drinking Brandy and coke before getting behind the wheel and falling asleep (which could of easily killed someone)

The bloke who posted let he without sin cast the first stone summed it up quite well actually.

Unfortunately he did post on Twitter, which isn't private, so at that point it does become other people's business. But generally I agree with you, people shouldn't care what others are doing, especially overpaid footballers.

What he said was racist but there's a fundamental difference between using a term that is racist and being 'a' racist.

Plenty of people sung the Yuki Abe song. It was racist. Were they racists? No, by and large they were predominantly just ****ing stupid.

I don't believe he is a racist anymore than I believe Danny Simpson is going to knock his next Girl friend out mate, that's the point.
