Listening to them talk about us Monday night was fvcking painful. 'Pundits' are never the most clued up on teams outside the top six but their level of ignorance was staggering.
ge12 Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 I have no problem with this, his first tweet was at very worst slightly provocative, and in reality a bit of light hearted humour. Carragher on the other hand has shown a nasty and bitter side, especially with the '5 games a season' comment. Some of the comments these guys have been on the receiving end of over the past week or so have been so downright disrespectful that no wonder they want to give some of it back, however they have to back it up though as he will look incredibly silly if we do go down.

Funniest thing was Jermaine Jenas a couple of weeks ago '.....and what about Slimani? He was on fire when he came in, where's he been?' Afcon, you plumbag
SouthStandUpperTier Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 I'd rather have a Champions League title than a league title to be fair.Shouldn't be allowed to have one without the other IMO.

MurphyMagic Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Fair play Danny, Carragher has been one of the most guilty pundits talking absolute drivel about our players. Glad he is giving him some shit.

gazzaa2 Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 A lot of Liverpool fans hold a grudge against Carragher for turning on Rafa Benitez and downing tools on him and briefing against him in the press and undermining him. He won Liverpool the CL. Carragher's a hypocrite.

StriderHiryu Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 This is childish and someone from the club should probably tell him to stop doing it. BUT, it's pretty damn funny and I respect him for sticking up for himself and the rest of the players. The media are inadvertently creating a siege mentality within the club, which is what got us promoted, kept us up during the great escape and won us the premier league title. Hopefully it's good enough to bring success in what I am coining "The painful goodbye" and we stay up again!
Fox92 Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Nice to see Simpson use the "average player" back at Carragher. We all know they are "average players" but I get fed up of the same pundits saying it on air. I like Carragher as a pundit and I always liked him as a player but I'm glad to see Simpson has just stuck up for his teammates with that remark.
Kitchandro Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Only a thick, miserable cretin like Carragher could make himself look the nob in a disagreement with someone who strangles women. I actually agreed with him when he said they have been lazy and underachieving, but the idiot can't resist contradicting himself by calling them average relegation standard players as well. If he wasn't so bitter he might be a better pundit and a more likeable bloke.
Webbo Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 I can't believe any of you taking this seriously. It's banter, there's nothing in it.

Haven't got a clue about the squad or any players pre-promotion.
Chico1958 Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 Banter Verbal sparring that's fundamentally friendly, especially needed to deflate the egos of gloating friends A banterous initiation to said friend:"I wonder if your ass gets jealous of all the shit coming out of your mouth" Says it all really

He can't win this argument either way! Not at all. He is sticking up for himself and the team. If we get relegated so be it. Doesnt take our trophy away. As for winning champs league over prem league i dunnno. Both good things to win no doubt but to me liverpool had no business being in the champs league as they never won the league. I think its a joke that non winners go into the champs league as it is. Thats another thread though.
Oswinner Posted 1 March 2017 Posted 1 March 2017 We need a chant for him. Something along the lines of, "Danny Simpson - one Jamie Carragher - nil "

Bossman Blessed It Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 Carragher has literally slated us all season. He's said we look tactically shocking, woefully unaware of how to play against opposition and then announced his disgrace at Ranieri's dismissal. Last season he said that some of the things Mahrez had been doing with his left foot are comparable to Messi and now all of a sudden, 'we're actually average players'. I appreciate form takes a big part, but Simpson was right to stick up with himself and the other players when he contested that. Neville was quite right when he said that the players worked harder on Monday. They did. That was clear and at least he implied that we just went back to doing the basics.
mozartfox Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 I hope Simmo starts to tweet that other ex-Liverpool knob Owen next.
Crazy Kop Corner Posted 2 March 2017 Posted 2 March 2017 Is it me or does quite a bit of this 'banz' not even make sense? I think it may be frustration on Danny's part in terms of the average player remark and the crap the players have had in the last week. The only thing I'm worried about is Danny's performances and if you're only as good as your last performance he'll do for me as I thought he was cracking on Monday Night.
