KANTE'S LETTER TO THE LEICESTER CITY FAMILY....

I've been offered more money so you can all f**k off.

Thanks for being a stepping stone.. Never wanted to come to you in the first place!

Of course, Ndidi's decision to leave Genk, the club he loves so much, and to join

struggling Leicester City, had nothing to do with money.

I am quite sure, that an impressive salary and a very generous release

clause  were needed to lure him to the midlands.

Talking about steppingstones....

All true of course...

But never got the impression that Kante wanted / or enjoyed being at Leicester!.. Think that was documented elsewhere?

Why so bitter?

He always gave all he had on the pitch and was crucial to the arguably most improbable Championship win in the football history. Also if I remember it right, the deal with Chelsea was already done in January.

I doubt the deal would have been done in January?

What when Guus Hiddink was getting his feet under the desk? Wise up mate.

Spot on.

It's a childish reaction to be honest.

A. Most people would have done the same

B. It was clearly the right move.

However, on here saying that seems to make you somehow disloyal to Leicester.

Kante was a key reason for the club having its biggest success story ever. I'll always thank him for his input and accept he's just moved on.

The only big deal for us is that we ain't as good without him. Cest la vie.

I have no idea when the deal was done personally.

Beats me. I'm actually trying to find the article where I read that some non written agreement was made way before the end of the season. I really read january 2016. Maybe I'm wrong.

In the meanwhile that's what I found:

"But it is understood that the 24-year-old was identified as a Blues target before Antonio Conte was lined up for the Stamford Bridge hot-seat." (18th march 2016)

http://www.dailystar.co.uk/sport/football/501918/Conte-20m-rated-Premier-League-star-complete-revolution-Chelsea-transfer-news

Not exactly january 2016. But one can suppose they took contact with the player one way or another prior to march.

Edit: Still searching.

Edit 2: Nevermind. Found nothing.

He said he wanted to work with conte, that's why he joined Chelsea even though they finished 10th.

You're absolutely right but I'm fairly certain that something was already brewing in january. Burden of proof is on me, so if i find something concluding I'll post the link, if not well I just dreamed the whole thing.

He was never going to stay due to that release clause he and his agent put into his contract before he joined.

I think the beaming smiles of over 30 thousand fans at the KP when we lifted the trophy probably compensates for Kante not strolling around the pitch looking like a Cheshire cat every game.

We were brilliant and so was he. He's gone. Get over it mi old mate.

Yeah, but compare the heartfelt goodbye by Ndidi to Genk compared to the "**** you I'm off" we basically got from kante when he left... Ungrateful, ungracious sod!

I doubt he will be as quick or cover the amount of ground Kante does.

His Europa League stats are amazing.  Ran 16.8km in one game which is second to the record.

Really hopeful for this guy.

Now all of you have been extactic over his signing, give the lad support, time and patience...

Not sure we have an awful lot of time on our side with this one?... Can't afford for him to be another Kapustka,  Mendy (jam tomorrow) type of signing... Can we?

They could just be different personalities matey? Kante was never one for much talk was he. Meant to be pretty shy and reserved apparently.

Personally, I'm very grateful for how he performed on the pitch for us. And, as far as I can see it, IF the deal was basically done in January, he could have stopped trying for us, knowing his 'big move' was on the cards. He didn't. Instead, he was utterly superb until the final day.

I can't bring myself to hate one of the best players I've seen in a City shirt and a central figure to our amazing success. I don't really give two hoots if he didn't leave in a fanfare of love and adoration for the club. Many seem to on here it would seem (judging by the plus ones). Dont surprise me in the slightest that, to be fair.

I think he's basically saying we need Ndidi to come in and hit the ground running. And we probably do. Drinkwater clearly isn't fit, King is..well King. So a really good young player who can shine in the side from the start would be great.

Looking forward to seeing him play.
