I think he's basically saying we need Ndidi to come in and hit the ground running. And we probably do. Drinkwater clearly isn't fit, King is..well King. So a really good young player who can shine in the side from the start would be great.

Looking forward to seeing him play.

And we have to be fair to the guy, despite what we 'need'

Did he ever smile?

are you having a laugh?

kante couldn't stop smiling when he was with us. he clearly loves taking the ball off defenders, giving it back to them and then taking it off them again.

honestly, no idea how anyone could hate kante. lad came here and won us the bloody title. never had a bad word to say about us.

Can we all stop talking about Kante? We all loved him while he was here and we all know how important he was to us to us last season. But he's gone now for hiw own reasons so let's stop banging on about it when we should be talking about something far more important.

Such as, what's Wilfred's song going to be?!

Thought it a bit unusual for Claudio to speak about other clubs wanting him and he can be resold in the future. Hope the release clause is hefty (unless he's crap).

KANTE'S LETTER TO THE LEICESTER CITY FAMILY....

I've been offered more money so you can all f**k off.

Thanks for being a stepping stone.. Never wanted to come to you in the first place!

Ngolo

Obviously we all wanted Kante to stay, the same with Cambiasso the year before.

He was absolutely awesome during his one season with us and it is 99.9% certain that we would not have won the Premier League without him. So I will be eternally grateful that we had him for that one wonderful season and wish him well for the future without any bitterness.

I'm hoping that Ndidi will be a quality signing for us as give us the boost we need in midfield. Hopefully he will be here for more than one season.

Players will come and go but we fans will always remain.

Spot on. Just can't bring myself to hate Kante. Never said a bad word about us. Leaving to another prem club was a big kick in the nuts but meh. Even Lineker left us and he's a legend. Happens in football. He gave everything when he was here that's what matters.

Kante is a ****. It is clear we were always a stepping stone for the little fecker and that's it, he and his twat agent wanted to come here get recognised and go to the marvellous bright lights of London with all the other arrogant rich ***** and get as much wonga as possible.

I thank him for the effort in his one season but he is now a nothing, he should never be mentioned in the same breath of true legends who give years to our club.

The way he left was the worst possible and the fact he still goes on now about how Chelsea are a massive club, until the Russian era they were pretty much a nothing club. The real historic big clubs are Man Utd, Liverpool and maybe Arsenal.

I hope Ndidi can take our midfield to a new level where we don't look scared of the football.

I can't blame Kante too much now, I'm grateful of what he helped bring to the team last year and was gutted when he left, but as mentioned I'm over that now. I guess he might of viewed the move to Chelsea as an opportunity that may not arise again.

He'll pretty much be part of a team that is constantly challenging for the title and also playing Champions League football (eventually). He could of stayed with us, had a poor start to the season, as we have, and a 'bigger' move may not of come around for him.

In my head he left for footballing reasons and not the cash, he's too cute to hate. :D

What did he say exactly? Genuinely curious.

I thnk we may all have to get used to being a club that develops players before they go to the elite. Let's be honest most clubs fall into that category - even Arsenal lost several high profile players until fairly recently.  It will be up to the owners then if we want to push to the next level and try to become elite level ourselves.

Personally whilst it is painful to see your favourite players leave, I would hate to see us become a Chelsea or Man City style club that just buys success. Even Man United have sold out in recent times too. I would like our characteristics to be a team that plays with heart and passion always. In fact though 20 years apart I thought that last years team was quite similar mentally to MON's team in the 90's. A collection of great lads that collectively were more than the sum of their parts.
