So does Mahrez drop the the bench? Or does Mahrez play in the hole(which he never plays well in that position).

Maybe I'm mad but I still think Riyad can do a job there, he's never been given a real run in that position but I do agree that he hasn't looked great however that doesn't meant he won't ever. Also, he tends to moved back out wide anyway because when he's not there, nothing good tends to come from the flanks - Snodgrass would at least give us an option. Similarly, you could have Snodgrass in the hole (as he has done for Norwich and Scotland) and keep Riyad in his normal position. Or they interchange.

I just don't think Ramirez is a) that good a player or b) the answer to our problems. The main issue we have is a lack of creativity and Snodgrass has proved consistently he can make things happen.

what makes you say that? I think Rudkin is doing a grand job. Patience is a virtue. Good things come to those who wait.

Rudkin is pile of Shite.

Let's just keep playing hoof ball and watch Okazaki slip over every time he gets on the ball.

Or get someone better than Ramirez who has never been good enough to do anything significant in his career.

All Snodgrass does is cut in on his left foot and has a brilliant free kick, that's it. He won't be able to do that if he plays CAM. Mahrez has played CAM numerous times and has not impressed at all.

dunno I'm not a scout but I've seen enough of this dogarse player to know he will never be good enough. Okazaki was winning a league winners medal while this cvnt dropped down to the championship to get minutes, i know that much.

So you are fine with what you are currently watching on a Saturday?

Anyone else get excited when a thread gets the "HOT" tag, always ends in disappointment

I rarely get excited anymore about anything

mind you that's probably more to do with being over 40 and married

Even though we've been out played twice by Boro this season?

and yet we're still above them in the league and in the last 16 of the CL. Maybe at the end of the season league officials will say "Boro are in the relegation zone but hey they nearly won at Leicester so they get to stay up". Or not.

I think Ramirez offers more  than Okazaki. Agree to Disagree.:P

gylfi sigurdsson, can't see how we can be interested in him last year and now he's improved, we're not. Makes no sense.

Better than watching Boro this season for whom Ramirez does nothing.

It's not though, is it.

i agree this signing, should it happen, is pretty dull. However,

Positives;

- He is an ACM / no1, of which we don't have. (The make weight Okazaki, is simply not performing in that role this season)

- he's at a good age

- he's an international with a quality team

- he's cheap for one who plays in his role

- we may go down. If we were to attract a Sigurdsson etc, they would command much more wages and fees

- he can pick a pass in the middle of the park

- his performances will improve with the better players we have around him

theres more but I'm boring myself
