Don't know specific names etc, only that the club is trying hard and with Hernandez leaving I'm sure a cb is top priority. Fans need to realise though that it's not like football manager where deals get done in a couple of clicks and the whole transfer market (especially January) is similar to buying a house where it's a chain reaction. 

One transfer isn't done unless the selling club does its own business. 

We're not the only club struggling to get deals done quick!

Like I said previously its completely baffling to me that people actually think our owners who have made billions of pounds in the business world and who will no doubt have some of the best negotiators money can buy,  would put someone with zero experience in charge of such an important part of a football club. 

Internally Rudkin calls the shots but externally they've got other people.

Yes people are frustrated which is understandable but certain fans that I've seen on here & especially on twitter need to stop being so naive and have patience

Hope you're right, more than happy to apologise for my impatience, however Rudkin does have some history when it comes to the end of transfer windows.

I'm as frustrated and impatient as anyone but to think people actually believe Rudkin and anyone else at the club just sit in their offices twiddling their thumbs til deadline day is laughable. Surely people aren't that naive??

What's your take on the Adrien Silva situation in the summer, some on here say he may have had a mare and sat on the deal? The Remy helicopter situation didn't help his rep either, although we had a lucky escape on that one...

 

The impression I get is he's a pretty honourable guy, but he has a tendency to focus too much on one or two deals, at the expense of pre-closing back up options, which in turn get snapped up at the end of the window, because he spent too much time chasing the plan A's.

The owners are rich but they're not stupid. Silva' agent had agreed personal terms but Sporting owner was never going to sell and was just messing around demanding stupid money.

Remy's wages were astronomical and we walked away from the deal as he wasn't a must buy. 

As for the helicopter etc I've got no clue but no doubt it was just twitter talk that people took as gospel! Like I've said, fans need to stop being naive & believing everything they see on twitter.
