You may get Jesé but I doubt he'd be the difference to you staying up or going down. It's literally Snodgrass' only other option. Burnley have a stupidly low wage cap imposed on incomings which will almost certainly prevent them from getting him. We know for a fact that we are Snodgrass' preferred destination and if they do accept a bid, it's almost 100% certain he will come here (due to family and owning property in North Yorkshire). It's all up to Hull and whether they back down. Otherwise, Snodgrass will (one way or another) have to bite the bullet. I actually wonder if he will decide to stay at Hull instead of going to West Ham because it better suits his outside needs.

I don't see why he would rather play at Middlesborough when he can play for West Ham in a 60k stadium and then live in London, also he will get paid more at West Ham.

He doesn't want to live in London (I've lived there once myself for a few years and I don't blame him), his family is based in North Yorkshire and settled. He doesn't want to move is perhaps the more fitting thing to say. He won't get paid more at West Ham unless they really push the boat out. We know from a good source that we have already spoke to his agent and agreed terms in principle so we won't need to battle them on wages. Usually I'd agree with your sentiment, lot of players would rather play in London than in the North East but going by what we know through a source, that's absolutely not the case this time.
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 26 January 2017 Posted 26 January 2017 I'd rather retire than play for West Ham

I remember us beating Norwich 4-0 and West Brom 4-1 and I think there was a t least a few 3 goal games as well. Incredible. Yep. We must have had a lot of blanks

sylofox Posted 26 January 2017 Posted 26 January 2017 Do the club think this is the man to turn our season? If no why are we after him? If yes he's worth 20m jus do it. LCFC stop fecking around.

Defensively we were horrific!! Haha I seem to remember one season we had a really good defence but still went down? was it when we went down to league 1 then?
chapero82 Posted 26 January 2017 Posted 26 January 2017 At least we now know the ITK's know as much as us

Johnthefoxrayner Posted 26 January 2017 Posted 26 January 2017 Boro have turned down a offer from city for ramirez
Johnthefoxrayner Posted 26 January 2017 Posted 26 January 2017 We are leaving it very late to bring any new signings in.

Micky Posted 26 January 2017 Posted 26 January 2017 Playing the waiting game is part of the transfer window. Last day = 2-5 million less.

Tielemans63 Posted 26 January 2017 Posted 26 January 2017 Why the **** we're not in for Snodgrass ourselves I don't know. Snodgrass for £10m or Ramirez for £15m - that's a no-brainer. I know they play in slightly different positions but Snodgrass would be much better buy and a much better fit IMHO.

Something that we don't have in our squad Yeah but where's he fit in our starting 11? Didn't CR say we're going 442? So no DD? Or is Ndidi a sub already?

So does Mahrez drop the the bench? Or does Mahrez play in the hole(which he never plays well in that position).
