I would've liked for us to have at least strengthened our defense by bringing in a new LB and RB. I still think Morgan and Huth are solid CB's and if we play Amartey right in front of them as a CB/DM hybrid it could provide cover for them and help them out. Our main problems on defense this season has been honestly because of lack of a DM cover and also a huge drop in form from Fuchs and at times Simpson. In any case, still a few days left. We'll see what happens.

I know you have answered this already but I really don't think Morgan and Huth are solid CB's. Far from it in my opinion. I do appreciate the cover in front of them at times has been poor but they are being beaten at their own game. How many times have they been beaten in the air so far this season? Constantly caught out of position and slow to react.

I appreciated their old school defending last season, "if in doubt put it out." But this season has been beyond a joke. Ranieri was screaming on the touchline against Derby for them to play it on the floor. For all of Vardy's flaws this season, how many times does he receive a 30 yard 'hoof' up the field, with his back to goal?

I honestly believe one of the two needs to be dropped. We can't have both playing the same game. I wouldn't mind if we were keeping clean sheets but their style of defending isn't even giving us those.

Fuchs has been in decline this season admittedly but fortunately I think Chilwell is more than capable enough to grow into that position. Simpson however is so poor. He fits into the Morgan / Huth mould, which is whenever he receives the ball, he blasts it 30 yards down the line.

Ramirez deal still not done. Bid für CB Mboji  from Anderlecht rejected.

Rudkin is still insisting on putting a  release clause in his contract...

Heard Claudio say today on the radio that 'he's happy with the squad and is happy if we sign someone but is also happy if we don't sign anyone'

Has he not watched us for the last few months...?

lol

There are two people to blame in this farsical season.

One - Rudkin, clearly a horrific negotiator.

Two - The Don, hasnt got a clue in the transfer market.

Its like dumb n dumber but not funny.

I've reflected on this for sometime and can honestly state that whilst we may be Champions we have always been Div 1 in the transfer market. We're just not that good at it with Kante/Mahrez being exceptions. We seem to sell for peanuts, procrastinate and miss players or more recently well over pay.

I have as much confidence in our transfer business as I do in our current defence.

Don't understand why we have left is so late to try and buy players it's so frustrating with ulloa going on strike and slim is not fit Hernandez has gone we are down to the bare bones get a grip LCFC

It's more like nobody's wanting to come. Unless you'd want unconfirmed and/or young players (Ndidi). Great hopes for the latter though.

There was a very interesting snippet on Stringer's show tonight that Málaga said the Hernandez transfer was especially drawn out and tedious. That's about all they said on the topic but fits with our current transfer market woes.
