He's got his desire back and he's putting the effort in that he wasn't earlier in the season. i think the players have had a wholly unfair level of stick about the whole Ranieri stuff but I think Vardy's recent displays only serve to highlight what a disgrace he was being earlier this season. Although I do believe there was a clear lack of desire across the whole squad, I for one fully believe the tactics were responsible for Vardys poor display and the team as a whole. We are now pressing more as a team. Something that until the Liverpool game, we werent doing. We arent lumping the ball up to Vardy with his back to goal. Look at Fuchs now for example, hes bombing forward and looking full of confidence, as are a number of others. Dare I say it, even Simpson looks solid and more composed on the ball. The players have been let of their leash so to speak.
EnglishOxide Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Vardy was clearly under tactical instruction to conserve his energy from Ranieri. We saw it at the arse end of last season. Was he lacking in motivation then? I think he was trying earlier in this season but gradually he and the rest of the players lost faith in what Ranieri was asking them to do and so, to be fair, there was a drop off in effort. But that's still the managers responsibility.
dylanlegend Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 The whole team is attacking more and therefore creating more chances. I bet Vardy has touched the ball more in the last 2 games than all games put together before this. All about service and tactics. Pundits saying the players weren't playing for Ranieri are simpletons. Ranieri was the 'manager' if he can't inspire the players to 'play for him' then I'm afraid this is the managers fault. It's what they get paid for, it's their job to ensure players 'play for them'

TheUltimateWinner Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 He's back!!! The player everyone hates but us Leicester fans love. Never change Vards.
justfoxes Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 FairPlay for Vardy did exactly enough to get Nasri sent off to which that ugly little hobbit Nasri has done to Countless other players in his past and to see Nasris reaction was priceless !!
ZeGuy Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 Excellent game from him tonight. Should've buried that one though.
fazzyfox Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 As Paul Daniels would have said..."Not a lot". He's looking impossible to cope with again and we're getting plenty of balls up to him nice and early, still think he won't get as many penalties as before ever since the Jon Moss incident and the extended publicity it received. Which is maybe fair enough as a lot of then weren't really penalties!
GaelicFox Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 Looked world class tonight apart from his finishing
fuchsntf Posted 14 March 2017 Posted 14 March 2017 Funny thing tonight he hit everything he aimed at (his face)..4 shots on target. you could say hes that sort of guy who will knock himself out to score.... He ducked out twice tonight, once against Nasri, then again when he put it over the bar... He has some unfinished business this weekend against W.Ham. 2 knockout punches this saturday.??
waylander Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Nothing wrong with vardy just needed service . Normal service resumed TAKE A BOW JAMIE VARDY ??
waylander Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 Also could someone re post that link of vardy scoring the Liverpool screamer. And the scouse bloke screaming Ahhh bloody Steptoe can't seem to find it thank you in advance ?
Guest Posted 19 March 2017 Posted 19 March 2017 What I particularly enjoyed about that celebration is the West Ham fan clearly mouthing the word 'cvnt' at him in the background
