Arriba Los Zorros Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Was out at a gig last night but seeing the highlights, we've got our Jamie back! Can't play long ball with this lad, got to pass it and thread him through. Two superbly taken goals!

HybridFox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 One thing I loved last night was how physical he was. Getting in their faces, hard tackles, desire to win every ball. Gave away a few fouls admittedly but I don't mind that if he's putting in the effort. Media writing him off as a one season wonder, this lad's got plenty left in the tank! Chat s*** get banged

Jonno84 Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Last night kinda felt like a year ago with him.brings back old emotions that have been dead for a long time
Koke Posted 4 March 2017 Posted 4 March 2017 Looked phenomenal today again. He looks a complete different player than few weeks ago. Constant threat and worked his socks off. His passing sequence with Fuchs for the first goal was superb. Great goal.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 4 March 2017 Posted 4 March 2017 Contributed all over the pitch today and chipped in with an assist, we've got our Vardy back
TheMightySystem Posted 4 March 2017 Posted 4 March 2017 I think its because he is allowed to play his own game, chasing the ball all over the pitch. Under Ranieri I and others have pointed to the fact that he was always sticking to the defenders, never dropping deep or moving out wide which severly limited his game and his chances. I was concerned when Ranieri said in a post match interview that he told Vardy to stop closing down, thats taking out alot of his game making him less effective. Now he is dropping deeper, moving into the channels and back to his pesty self. When he plays like this its not too important that he doesn't get chances to score as he will create for others, Fuchs goal and a few great crosses in, thinking especially of the one for Albrighton which if Slimani was on he would have got to it. He also hasn't got to worry about beating 3 or 4 players anymore because the team is attacking as one in the same way they defend as one. With Ranieri he would be lucky to have 2 players supporting him on his runs, now he has 3 or 4 that are in the attacking third with him.

ousefox Posted 4 March 2017 Posted 4 March 2017 Fantastic today and looks back to his best. Brilliant play for the Fuchs goal. I was his harshest critic over the last couple of months but maybe it was the tactics? Is there any evidence to suggest he's playing higher up now and pressing more?
harpendenfox Posted 4 March 2017 Posted 4 March 2017 last season produced a number of celebratory books. The 'inside story' on this campaign could reach the top of the bestseller list.

GaelicFox Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 Keeps playing like this and he will get a mega move in summer or a pay increase
foxes21 Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 I think when the seasons over, he could end up with 15-20 goals in all competitions. Right now he's on 8 goals, 5 assists.

Freeman's Wharfer Posted 5 March 2017 Posted 5 March 2017 It's nothing to with service, tactics or any of that nonsense. He's got his desire back and he's putting the effort in that he wasn't earlier in the season. i think the players have had a wholly unfair level of stick about the whole Ranieri stuff but I think Vardy's recent displays only serve to highlight what a disgrace he was being earlier this season.

You really think any player, a goal-getter like Vardy, would be content to go for so long without scoring or playing in a manner that had led them to reach the heights he did just because he'd been told to play a certain way? Rubbish. There weren't even glimpses of Vardy effort or desire for the first 20+ games of this season. All that's changed is that he's a fighter - the players were backed into a corner and he's finally come out fighting.

Isolating him and essentially making him the scapegoat is not the answer.
