Matt Posted 21 February 2017 Posted 21 February 2017 I just can't see where our next win is coming from. I just can't. That's not me being pessimist, we're on our arses and I can see no light at the end of the tunnel, I just can't see what's going to change and where we're going to get a point, let alone 3.
Guest Danny Clender Posted 21 February 2017 Posted 21 February 2017 40 points, that's what we've been told, so that's what we'll get.

biggs Posted 21 February 2017 Posted 21 February 2017 just enough....me hopes.......and as this board often goes into meltdown reaction over just about anything (even winning last year the fear of failure was rampant) it'd be great for entertainment purposes to see our relegation battle decided on the final day.

It wasn't a fear of failure last season, and I don't recall much in the way of "meltdown" situations......it was a question of just how well we would do, what the level of success would be (a top 6 position given recent history would have been a success)....of course we were nervous about it, I'd been waiting 60 years to see anything like it....and sure as heck don't expect to see anything like it again during my lifetime. Anyway, I sincerely hope you're right with the "just enough points" scenario.
KingKante Posted 21 February 2017 Posted 21 February 2017 Chap down the pub reckons 34 points at the end of the season
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 21 February 2017 Author Posted 21 February 2017 You've also got to factor in the games towards the end of the season when opponents have nothing to play for ... surely we've got to pick some points up .... not looked at the run in of our relegation rivals but ours on paper isn't that bad
Wymsey Posted 21 February 2017 Posted 21 February 2017 Will get points at home against Hull, Sunderland and Bournemouth. I say 12. Away form will improve but not as many as I predict in terms of points at home. 9 away. Reckon 42.

Defoe against Huth and Morgan And it depends which Bournemouth turn up....and whether our team decides to turn up.
Guest Posted 21 February 2017 Posted 21 February 2017 the way this season is going I'm expecting the FA to uncover some accountancy discrepancies and dock us a solid 15 points.

But we do need other teams to do us a favour
WinslowFox Posted 22 February 2017 Posted 22 February 2017 Convinced we will drop into the bottom 3 at some stage, possibly as early as this weekend, I just hope we aren't in there come May.

We're getting nothing playing like we are. I'd definitely say Sunderland are worse, feel sorry for Defoe scoring a large majority of their goals. Defence is actually worse than hours and quite cringeworthy going forward at times. Our game with them is massive but should beat them with their Championship-bound team.
jmono84 Posted 22 February 2017 Posted 22 February 2017 The thing that encourages me is we can't surely keep playing this badly and are overdue a good bit of form.. unless we set records for losing consecutively... how did it go sooo wrong
RODNEY FERNIO Posted 28 February 2017 Author Posted 28 February 2017 Well that's three points I was not counting on. 14 points from the next 12 games should be enough. So four wins , two draws and six losses .... does not seem so daunting now.
ZeGuy Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 Now it's a completely different deal. If we manage to win against Hull next week, I'll bet on a home win against Sunderland, Bournemouth and probably Stoke. Away maybe one or two points. 38-40 Points.
harpendenfox Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 If the bottom 7 reproduce their points tally of the last 10 games for the rest of the reason, the final table will look something like this: Swansea 39 points Leicester 35 points Bournemouth 34 points Hull 33 points ---------------------------------- Boro 32 points Palace 32 points Sunderland 30 points
Leicester69 Posted 28 February 2017 Posted 28 February 2017 6 at home, barring Spurs all against teams we can/should beat...Hull, Stoke, Sunderland, Watford and Bournemouth....if you don't lose any of them you get a minimum of 11 points, win 3 draw 2...in my opinion 6 away, we never win at Arsenal, and last year aside always get turned over at West Ham, and lets be realistic Man C will need points for Europe...write those 3 off you have Everton, WBA and Palace where recent record is good and likelihood WBA playing for nothing and in end of season mode....win one, draw one lose one, so 4 points away...in my opinion. 15 points in total gets you to 39 points, other teams have much tougher run ins so I reckon we finish 14-15th
