Claudio at the training ground...

Recommended Posts

Whether it is sport or business Claudio has some of the highest levels of integrity and humility that I have ever seen by a top professional.

I am sure someone will make a comment like it is easy when you get paid off with millions but it honestly does not come into it.

This man gave himself over to our city and us fans which is so clear in his eyes in that brief interview - I fully respect our owners have revolutionised our club BUT this has been handled shamelessly and they have treated Claudio disgracefully.

For Claudio to show no bitterness just demonstrates what a top human being he is - yes, it's sport and we have been rubbish but imo he had earned the opportunity to turn it around and that would have included relegation in my opinion.

The saddest time i have been a city fan in my 42 years following the club - I was at a professional clubs academy training ground this morning and two ex-pros I spoke too said that they were shocked that this had happened - needless to say the ill feeling towards our club has intensified as the outside world believes we are joke.........sadly I agree.

Press are blowing the whole thing way out of proportion.

I love Claudio, course I do, but we haven't scored a league goal in 2017. We haven't won a game. Something had to give.

ideally, we could have moved CR upstairs, but RUDKIN wouldn't accept that. So what was the option?

Corrected your post for you.

Indeed but perhaps on an 18 month contract ..........

The way some fans have reacted you would have thought that he was signing on the dole and having to live on benefits!

I would imagine that the Club and Claudio had already agreed the financial package for him to leave and that part of this was that both parties maintained the confidentiality and did not say anything in public of an adverse nature. Same thing happened when Pearson left - he has never said anything negative about the Club, because that's what was agreed when he was paid off as part of the deal.

Calling people thick for having a different view. :(

Maybe those people have the rather old-fashioned view that money isn't everything...

What proof is there that the term Judas is in any way relevant to any of the squad.

If you believe everything you read you are as dense as they are.

Don't really agree with you giving his address out, I live down the road from him. But maybe we could stand outside with candles serenading him. Such a shame. I shed a tear when I read his 'dream has died' article.

Didn't say anything about Judas myself (but thanks for calling me thick). But if you have 40 pieces of silver, i'm quite happy to say whatever you want!

It's very windy at the moment, perhaps an illuminated Dildo, given that he's well and truly f***ed us this season.

Sure I understand the poor results, and awful football that has been played, I mean Swansea away, a 7 hour drive to watch that. Awful, the worst I've seen them play for years. But he still did the impossible. It was at an unexpected time should have at least gave him the CL home game. Lose that then go. I was still in Seville when it was announced. Everybody was like wtf! As a lifelong Leicester fan he will always have a place in my heart. Always!

I think the Swansea 2-0 away in our first season in the premier league was worse (2014)

Thank you for this. I took my 10 year old to the house today as he had a goodbye letter for him. Housekeeper said he was in Italy for at least a week. My little ones face when the door opened...

He has 2 doorbells. Presumably a dilly ding and a dilly dong.

yeah the "lack of loyalty" we have shown him is a bit of a joke too.

we were loyal in giving him a new contract which will now be fully paid in a lump sum.
