Effectively cost him his job Yeh because we were trouncing the league with Yakubu. Sven's failings were numerous, tactically he had no plan at all and almost all of his signings were average/poor. Yakubu would have made no difference to that, especially as he didn't fit into any system anyway due to how lazy he was. Fortunately Sven also signed Nugent who was much more effective for the team. Also it's embarrassing that Beckford gets slaughtered on here (not saying he wasn't shit) whilst Matt Mills, a supposed captain, is hardly ever mentioned, considering his behaviour.
