I don't think he got into double figures, unless you're counting the cup. He did score a few as an emergency striker...a double against Everton (I think) one of which where he turned on a six-pence.

Useful player.

Yeah, I think it was in all competitions. Remember him being a utility player not just because of his height but due to his mobility for a centre back.

That ****ing freekick. I love that we just started taking the piss by letting Huth take a freekick.

I was thinking about that the other day, what was everyone expecting?

Just checked. He did score a brace against Everton. The goals are on YouTube, but he didn't do a turn...it was a placed finish. Jawdropping for a big lad.

I hate the "if X player did it it'd be lauded" talk but I will say it, if Pogba put in an exquisite ball on a plate to Smalling with his outside boot there'd be a week long wankfest over it. Albrighton is just a boring player.

I remember! Also, he certainly scored a few more than Heskey one season or maybe even two under O'Neill.

Let's not forget. 1 in the semi-finals of the league cup and 2 in the final.

Won us the cup, that did.

It was definitely Drinkwaters fault!

Drinky was interviewed about that and i remember him saying that when Huthy wants to take a free kick there's not really anyone who can stop him lol

I think a lot of my favourite City goals are scored by defenders- they've scored some massive goals for us in the last 25 years!

Walsh v Derby

Walsh v Arsenal

Grayson v Wimbledon

Elliott v Villa

Elliott v Tranmere

Huth v Tottenham

Huth v Man City

Morgan v Southampton

Morgan v Sevilla

Yep, Elliott is a bona fide City legend and a great bloke to have as a club ambassador.

Nice to see Huth back on form.but I don't think its spectacular enought for goal of the month.fairly bog standard header...its not really a goal that sticks in my mind I've seen many like it.

Some good goals, some good memories...But this is about Huth n Shakespeare this last month...

wouldnt most of the best-goals-posts be better suited put to another topic....

When the goal first went in, I just thought 'that's dreadful marking, how has Huth got so much space?!', but the whole routine is sublime- particularly Albrighton's cross with the outside of the boot. The threat of Albrighton shooting is probably what drew defenders out and gave Huth so much space to attack the cross- he had to hit it first time before he got closed down, and he really didn't have much room to get it over the defenders- needed the extra flight on it.

I watched one of those 'vlogs' from a West Ham fan and he got it on film- straight away said 'that's incredible, probably the best worked free-kick I've ever seen'.
