Nah they're not like me. They're easy to recognise because Muslims are brown people. And they wear towels, and run round shouting "allahu akbar" before blowing themselves up.

 

You just need to look out for the people holding the bundles of "Follow Sharia Law or Be Executed" posters. Telltale sign, that is.

I've observed Islam and Muslims I know to be similar to hardline fundamentalist Christians in the southern US states. 

They believe some crazy things (like Noah's Ark literally happened, the world is only thousands of years old, evolution is a lie etc). But the bottom line is that, despite some bizarre and objectively incorrect beliefs, they are nice people. They try to live 'good' lives, they give to charity etc.

The Muslims I know are as baffled by recent terror attacks as we are. And just like us, they don't really know any way to tackle it.

Every government intelligent agency estimate 15 to 20 percent of 1.6 billion muslims are against western culture and beliefs. Look it up. I see those kind of statements on re-posts of EDL and Britain Firs on Facebook.t. A relative of mine even posted something which said ban the burka/Hijhab. I asked why because they have the choice of not wearing one. Their reply. 'Do you know what is under one of them. My response how many bank robberies by people wearing one has there been. I have had no answer so far.

I do not like any religion but I do not think what attracts people to them  is the violence. There are good and bad things within them. The bad parts are centries old and most people have adapted There are also good and bad people. Religion is used to suit a person's own view sometimes and that is what I find wrong. I have always said that i do not need a god to be a good person.

I don't particularly like Islam, I'm not a huge fan of any religion because they contradict my views. I don't dislike people based on their choice but I will judge them based on how they follow it. Islam in particular is oppressive to women in some quarters and I think it should be tackled much more than it is.
