Kara Mbodji - back in for him?

I generally tend to believe these rumours more than any other because it's definitely our style to court a player long term, scout across a couple of windows, then dive in.

He's also at the sort of level we seem to like to recruit from.

Looked class against United the other day. Certainly better than our centre halves did at Old Trafford this season!

If hes good it means the heart of our team would be ripped out come January next year. AFCON.. terribly timed tournament.

Im against any more African players simply because of this.

Unless a few of our current African players on the roster are sold or sent out on loan in the summer...

Hmmm yeah but still taking Ndidi out (our best centre mid) and Mbodji (potentially best central defender) would affect any team.

I'd rather sign him or Omar Colley (Ndidi's old team mate at Genk), over Ben Gibson tbh.

Signing Gibson for the price Boro are looking for would be a joke. We could probably get someone better for 8-15m easy.

Personally I don't think Keane and Gibson are even that good.

There are so many better options in Europe.

Certainly not for the price teams are being quoted for them. If they weren't English nobody would care.

They've fallen under the "young, english, some talent" category and hence they'll cost way too much

This guy threatened to go on strike when Anderlecht wouldn't accept our low-ish bid in January... not sure that's the right attitude. (Slimani did the same IIRC)

Fair enough his dream is to play in the PL, but that's like Mahrez going on strike in the middle of a title race because we rejected a 20m bid from Barca.

Or Ulloa going on strike due to not getting his move away?

I'd still say Ulloa has a great mentality and has a positive impact on the squad. Can't judge a player's attitude on one action.

Well we we have no way of knowing who will qualify for the tournament, of course.. this year Nigeria failed to!

He was very good again Man U the other day, granted players can have good one off matches but he looks promising.

Mbodji played at Genk from 2013 - 2015. Might know Ndidi?

Good spot.

Ndidi made his debut in January 2015 & Mbodji left in August 2015.
