StanSP Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 just a massive shout-out to them for their constant attention to the pitch and keeping it to such a high standard all year round. The patterns over the last few years have been superb. Time and time again they excel themselves and just produce stunning pieces of work. The latest effort... https://twitter.com/lcfchelp/status/862301889484005378 Surely we have the best staff in this department in the country?! Or the world?
Harry - LCFC Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 Easily the best pitch design I've seen. That looks like the perfect mirror image of our badge.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 That is incredible - best pitch design I have ever seen.
the fox Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 Underappreciated, I think they are the best and most creative pitch staff in the league and probably one of the best in the world. The pitch always in mint condition. Well done
jammie82uk Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 Just seen that myself on twitter it's a shame the patterns are not going to be allowed next season
MPH Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 Long gone are the days when a Shilton foot scrape is considered permissible, i'd imagine!
the fox Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 If anyone from the staff is lurking in this forum I just wanna say, thank you?

Happy Fox Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 Incredible, if they offer this as a business they would be multi millionaires.

The commentators were talking about during the Watford game, claiming that our diagonal patterns were stopping the linesmen from seeing offsides, and one of the reasons next season it will need to be straight lines is to help them judge offsides.

I was watching 'ref watch' on sky sports news and they had our game against Watford on the screen and dermot gallagher said pitch designs are horrible and don't help the linesman in anyway and was looking forward to next season when they are banned
Harry - LCFC Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 I do agree about the use of diagonal lines. It isn't easy judging offsides and with it being such an important decision the officials should be given all the help they can get. Horizontal lines give the linesmen a yardstick to judge the play against.
TheUltimateWinner Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 How the hell do these boys not win any industry awards, I can't think of any other team that has a pitch like ours, not just in terms of patterns, but in terms of quality. It's always immaculate - even when we had the rugby world cup it still looked pristine.

That's absolute horseshit. If a linesman can't look across a line and make a decision, and needs lines on the pitch to do his job, then he's in the wrong job. I mean, what do they do if the players aren't actually on a line when they need to make a call? That's right, they have to make a decision themselves, and they should be able to regardless of pitch designs. Bastards.
goose2010 Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 I can't even get a straight line in my garden! This is unbelievable
IOWFOX Posted 10 May 2017 Posted 10 May 2017 Amazing work as always but it will be the wrong way round for the camera's.
