Season Ticket Ballot Open For Gold Members

No hope as a silver member then! Mind you if they inflate the £75 fee from last year I don't think I'll bother, it's not as if I'll get a "free" champions wallet and pins this time!

Ballot is probably the fairest way of doing things, but the huge demand for such a small number of tickets just shows how much potential our fanbase currently has- get another tier stuck on the east stand ASAP.

I'm hoping the Mrs and kids are successful this time round, missed out last year and they were gutted as the kids are at that age where they really want to be going every match but it can get expensive buying tickets match by match. Please expand the stadium.

Out of interest....does anyone know how many gold members entered the ballot last year?

I'm guessing not all 4,000 will want/be able to commit to a ST (after all that's the nature of memberships).

The link in the OP doesn't seem to work when I click on it. Help!

Sorted it. There was a full stop that needed to be deleted in the URL link.

On one hand I hope it's taken up by most Gold members and gives a clear message to the club that we need an expansion but on the other hand I selfishly want it to become available to silver members too  (just one will do ;)).

If it helps with the maths 23500 season ticket holders. It was capped at that 2 years ago and yes that's what they sold each year.

4500 gold members as it was gold and family merged last season.

So 705 tickets if we work on 97% renewal and 4500 if everyone entered unlikely i guess. But a 6% chance of getting one.

Maths isn't your strong point is it?

6% chance of getting a ticket is wrong, working on the simple basis there's 4500 members and 705 tickets, you see how many times 705 goes into 4500.

6.38 times, so a 1 in 6.38 chance of a ticket, which is a 15.67% chance of getting one.

HTH :)

Haha. I was wondering who would notice 1st. In my defence it was late.

Surprised it took so long lol

I didn't want to sound patronising, hence the HTH:), just 15% chance sounds  better to anyone applying than a 6% chance, all up in the air though as no one knows exactly how many didn't renew.

Likewise no one knows how many Golds will apply, that will alter your chance too.

Fingers crossed I or my Dad get one, the ballot window was a lot shorter this year compared to last time - it was only open from Monday 9pm to Wednesday 5pm whereas at the start  of the 16/17 season it was open for about a week and a bit if I've read it properly?

1,600 people applied then so hopefully a lot fewer applied this time round meaning more chance for anyone that did put their names in.

So, that's the ballot closed. Good luck everyone!

Anyone have any idea when the lucky few will be notified?

Tomorrow and Friday I should think.

Did mine online yesterday but couldn't do my son's as we use the same email address. The TO told me the system would automatically do his, but rang back this evening and the person did it for me, so I'm glad I rang again. He told me those who are successful should hear tomorrow.

That would be good. Just hope it's not a drawn out process. Would rather be put out of our misery quickly ?

Good job you checked then! Typical LCFC TO though.

Dont suppose they gave any indication of how many people had entered?

Just e-mailed Jim and got an instant reply, he doesn't know how many have applied until tomorrow.

Be funny if it was only 50, that would put a damper on things.
