Can only assume the Drinky situation speeded this up. Top signing in my opinion.

But apparently Sporting wants Slimani on loan for 2 years with an option to buy or something along those lines. don't quote me on this, but we also have a credible source (RTP3) saying it's 15M after all Forgot to say the Portuguese transfer window closes in less than 5 minutes, so the Slimani deal can still be done if it is actually real.

The new stuff is 22 million sterling. But i'm not surprised your info is out of date, it's been hard to log into "gateway timeout"

He's a bloody good player though so I'm happy that we did still want him. Obviously if Drinky was staying we wouldn't have gone for him but I think he'll be a class replacement if....we get it done in time.

The problem is we don't really need him now...

No brainer.

We got Bas Dost for his position, who almost won the golden shoe last year. Even if they're different players, I'd probably cream in my pants to have them both up front, Bas in the box and Sli loose behind him.
