Hang on, he's 98 years old...

not so sure about this anymore.

He's a big man though, just what we need in the centre of the park

Taken me by surprise massively this one - I was told he was no longer interested and neither were we, and stated as such so apologies for getting that wrong.

Can only assume the Drinky situation speeded this up. Top signing in my opinion.

Still won't score from a corner though

Oh boy

People on the Sporting forum are saying the deal is done and he ended up costing...£15M. But apparently Sporting wants Slimani on loan for 2 years with an option to buy or something along those lines.

don't quote me on this, but we also have a credible source (RTP3) saying it's 15M after all

Forgot to say the Portuguese transfer window closes in less than 5 minutes, so the Slimani deal can still be done if it is actually real.

You're an honest man - was it you confidently saying it was never happening a while ago?

Yep - was very certain we didn't want him, and when we signed Iborra I was even more certain.

That information is dated. The new stuff is 22 million sterling. But i'm not surprised your info is out of date, it's been hard to log into "gateway timeout"

Should we bring Silva onboard for £20m and Chelsea pay twice that much money for Drinkwater, Rudkin can get Freedom of the City for all I care.

Don't take RTP3 as a credible source... Portuguese news regarding this deal are being taken from UK sources (Sky, etc)

BTW, it seams that Slimani doesn't want to return :(

He's a bloody good player though so I'm happy that we did still want him. Obviously if Drinky was staying we wouldn't have gone for him but I think he'll be a class replacement if....we get it done in time.

Ah, hopefully that's the case. Fingers crossed.

Probably because he's earning twice as much here

I think he said last year he wanted to come back eventually and it seems like Shakespeare doesn't really rate him, so I could see a transfer happening. The problem is we don't really need him now...

His maisonette in Braunstone is better than his executive pad overlooking the sea in Lisbon. No brainer.

Leicester signed slimani to slay porto at the champions league , he did his work , now it's time to come back home where he can slay dragons every week

Not just that. We got Bas Dost for his position, who almost won the golden shoe last year. Even if they're different players, I'd probably cream in my pants to have them both up front, Bas in the box and Sli loose behind him.

Never seen the list of 'recently browsing' members so long. Always like to keep it interesting for us!

There's a lot of Sporting fans here tonight.

I'm here since last season, and I did watch a lot of Leicester City games this season.

Yes, Leicester City supporter too.
