Always Next Year Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Some fcuking jobs worth at the FA nothing better to do, no wonder the English game is in such a mess.
Nalis Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Only thing I hate about the story is the fact that its in Joe, the online equivalent of a shit rag. The '**** YOU' story, not the OP story.
Fox92 Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 They should actually be doing something decent and stopping all gambling advertisements.
foxinsocks Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Once again the fa forget they are in the entertainment industry

cc_star Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Perhaps the Premier League have now realised just what's possible... And want to sell pitch designs as sponsorship... Or want to stop clubs selling before its even started
MrSpaM Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 I wonder what they would do if a club chose to just do it anyway, postpone the game? force the home team to forfeit? Fine the club? Can you imagine getting to a game and being told the game has been called off because the pitch was mowed wrong, I actually want a club to try it just to see what would happen!
dannythefox Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 They've asked for straight lines because the linesmen are struggling with offside so with straight lines there saying it will help them. Shame because our pitch always looks mint.
Bryn Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Same reason players aren't allowed to reveal t-shirts with messages; it detracts attention from sponsors. I'm going to start boycotting any company associated with the PL, UEFA or FIFA, I really am.

Would imagine a fine after the game, would be riots if a game was postponed for something so trivial.

The Fox Covert Posted 3 August 2017 Posted 3 August 2017 Bonkers! Makes me think, what would they do if half a dozen Premier League clubs decided to ignore their diktat and continue doing elaborate pitch patterns. They would probably have to drop it as whatever they did would make them look absolutely ridiculous. Would love to see this happen but can't see it somehow.

I agree it's rubbish but they are some of the reasons. Was in a magazine on about rule changes etc and the FA
SheppyFox Posted 4 August 2017 Posted 4 August 2017 I blame the EU! They can't make our rules for us in politics anymore so they must have some underhand dealings with football!

Was in a magazine on about rule changes etc and the FA Yes, I remember reading about it at towards the end of last season, it's a terrible shame is it suppresses individuality and creativity. It's a total Kop out though as some of the offside decisions not given are a disgrace as they are that blatant and should easily be spotted and straight lines won't stop them. I do feel that the officials aren't helped by the rule however, there is too much for them to be looking at, first phase, second phase, interfering with play, not interfering with play ect, no wonder they make obvious mistakes. Will the authorities change the rule? Of course not, let's change how the grass is cut instead.
