That game being on tomorrow is pure overkill. Neither set of fans want it, no-one wants the draw delayed. Both teams move a league fixture for it. What a crap idea. Not a fan of this increasing tendency to play games on a Thursday.

I think his time will come later in the season as he seems better equipped to push Kasper for a place than Zieler was, but that's a good shout.

 

Musa in front of Thomas could be an interesting one, but I prefer him on the wing from seeing him in preseason. Maybe rest Gray for the cup and put Musa in his stead with Slimani up front?

 

Obviously this is based on the hypothetical 'Accrington at home' scenario and things might change if we got a tricky Championship away tie, where I'd expect more of a mix between first XI and fringe players.
