The whole world smiles Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 After missing the 2nd round last year due to our European adventures its back to reality this year! Anyone know when it is? I've tried to google it to no avail. Is it tonight after the games? isn't it seeded so we have to get a League side away? who do people want?
Guest Bilo Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 A League Two side at home would do me, because I think it's well worth going for a cup run this season. I can't see us going down and can't see us in the top six, so any draw that could prolong a cup run would suit.
Wymsey Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 Accrington at home. Rest all of the seniors, second-preferred players should beat them relatively easily.
ealingfox Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 I believe it's called the Carabao Cup now. To answer your question OP the 2nd round draw is on Thursday night after Bury beat Sunderland.

It'll be after the Sunerland game.

The Floyd Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 A strong championship/lower PL side at home for some fringe players to test themselves against would be ideal.

Dan Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 Some easy lower league dross who are effectively a bye, aka Forest.
rn9013 Posted 9 August 2017 Posted 9 August 2017 I'd absolutely love Leeds away. Just down the road for me and been a few years since I've been to Elland road. Think we beat them with a Steve Howard penalty in the cup last time I went.

Fair point with ticket prices. But always a decent away atmosphere at elland road which is a bonus in the early rounds of a cup.
