Rugby, Basketball, Snooker, Football. All winning major titles in the past few years. Safe to say we are the best sporting city in the country :appl:

Looking at some stuff Nadolos wife has put on Insta I can’t help thinking that it didn’t go down too well that he wasn’t in the 23. Can completely understand the disappointment, and he’s unquestionably a starter/squad player in most games, but honestly feel it was the right call for this game where you are so reliant on your defence to be in position 100% of the time.

I assume he still gets a winners medal? :dunno:

I thought he should have been in the 23 before the game. However, Twickenham is a big pitch and they may have been able to exploit him. You have to say that Borthwick got all of the selection calls bang on though.

Yeah definitely. Just didn’t get to go on the podium for the trophy lift (and I can see why that would hurt - it should be everyone who is eligible for a medal really)

Some of the other players not in the 23 can count themslves unlucky too. JvP, Murimurivalu, Soumaki, Whitcombe etc. all played their part in the successful season and really deserved to be up there.

Recognition for a few with new call ups to the ENG travelling squad to OZ

added to Joe Heyes & Freddie Steward are new boys JVP & Guy Porter which i imagine is looked at in the centre position after his heroics there in the past for weeks. I also imagine that comes at the expense of Dan Kelly as if not injured he must have been knocking at the door.

also Tommy Reffell has made the Welsh squad just surprised it took so long

Well done to those & fully deserved :appl:

Am I right in saying that Reffell was also eligible for England? Incredible that he wasn't snapped up. In my opinion there's no one better over the ball in the premiership

I seem to recall there's been pressure put on Reffell to play in Wales if he wanted to make the Welsh squad. Question in my mind now is whether the Welsh management have decided to back down, or if Reffell has said he will make the switch...

City of Leicester certainly been blessed since 2014. Championship champions, premier league survival, premier league champions, champions league football, Fa Cup Winners, Rugby premier league survival, Charity Sheild Winners and now Rugby champions of England. Certainly proud city of sport... just a shame about the cricket team.

:bounce:..:appl:. Well worth the wait.

Nice reading from a hospital bed..

It changes now & then, but my old town

Stays the same..sporting wise for a small area we have spread our wings wide & long shadows are cast that reach the far-corners of the world...

Backed up usually with probably the best recognisable smart  badges...emblems & shirts seen anywhere...From booze ups in Aberdeen to expedition treks through deserts, jungles,Savannas,Himalayas,

Munroes,

Indian ,Asian Tiger- country,

Africa's big five terrortories,

Reeperbahn,Belgium/Dutch red-windows..French-German,Italian wine,beer regions, or adventurous gorges..The Orinoco to tiera-del-fuego,

Macchu-Picchu to Teotihuacan

A glint of a Tiger or Fox  shirt/badge will always be seen ,adorned or a blazened  drifting through their mist...

Moroni probably a victim of us having to cut our cloth after the big new summer signings as Watson & Pollard wouldn't have come cheap despite the loss of Genge & Ford.
Real shame as he was 1 of the 1st names on the team sheet for me, obviously with the emergence of Kelly & then Porter(@centre) along with Scott & new additions of Gopperth & Cokanasinga Borthwick believes we have cover :fc:

I guess Nadolo next to be announced as leaving

Obviously fans Love having Close support relations with those individual players and we have always found those long serving International players

Like the Youngs, Coles ,Murphys ,Wells,Hare,Wheeler, Johnsons,Tuilangi's etc..

Don t Enjoy this modern Merry- go- round of players as such.....

but it seems the Way of the Rugby world today...more to its unfortunatel negative side IMO...

I thought After his return, Ford would of  been Happy Finish at the Tigers...:dunno:

What a  travelling Story Freddie Burns is..!

I think we are seeing the new crop with Chessum, Steward, Martin, Kelly, Heyes, JvP etc. They'll be here for years to come.
