And homemade chips with gravy and then half an Oxo cube sprinkled over the top (it half melts into the gravy giving a big beefy kick) is absolutely lush. 

 

Yeah I tend to prefer mash or dauphinoise with a steak.

Yeah there's loads worse way to eat potatoes than chips, if you think chips are at the bottom you're a wrong'un imo.

Some codswallop being posted here ..  fish and chips from a proper fish and chip shop is food for the gods ..

Chip shops always make me feel dirty.

 

I need a long shower after going to the chippy and I think I've let myself down and been used lol

Dauphinoise, done properly, along with a cheesy mash on top of a Cottage Pie, are probably the best way to eat potatoes. 

 

I quite like a mini potato, left in its skin, roasted with garlic and rosemary too.

Hold on. How much starch are we eating here? Dauphinoise and mash? Together? As in on the same plate? 

 

With you on the mini jacket, though, Asda used to do ones ready prepared, not sure if they still do

Just my favourite way to enjoy potato. Definitely not on the same plate lol
