Choudhury captain?

You get the feeling he's on the brink of breaking into the first team.

First team squad that is, not starting XI.

Nope, there's one game being streamed by the bookies but it's not ours.

Harsh on the kids who have been playing well, especially after Beaglehole kept saying this cup is amazing for their development.

6 first teamers is a little ridiculous lol

Such a shame no live stream... twitter commentary it is then.

Shaky and now presumably Puel were tasked with getting to a Cup Final above anything else by the owners so not surprised  we have gone very strong

Team selection also dictated to a certain extent by U18's playing in FA Youth cup tonight

This weekend’s Checkatrade Trophy fixtures will herald a significant development for English football, with the Round Two ties held at Portsmouth and Walsall set to become the first EFL matches streamed online to fans in the UK.

Sky Bet EFL matches have been broadcast to overseas fans this season, but Saturday’s Checkatrade Trophy ties are the first to be made available to domestic supporters via the EFL’s live streaming platform, iFollow.

Portsmouth will host Northampton Town at Fratton Park, whilst Walsall welcome Bury to the Banks’s Stadium, with a place in Round Three up for grabs in the 12:30pm kick-offs.

It will mark the first fixtures in the Checkatrade Trophy this season to be streamed live on iFollow as the excitement builds towards a potential date at the national stadium.

An appearance at Wembley will be at the forefront of the minds of those still in the competition, following the completion of the group stages. Sixteen ties are set to be completed by Wednesday 6th December, with each side just four victories from a place in April’s Checkatrade Trophy final.

Ties up until the conclusion of the Quarter-Finals are being made available online for just £5 and any game that is played between two EFL clubs will be broadcast on either iFollow or the clubs’ equivalent service. Any existing annual or monthly iFollow subscribers will be given access for free.

Those games that involve teams from the Premier League will also be broadcast, although this is subject to agreement that both clubs can provide the service under the same terms and conditions and with the same safeguards to protect the interests of both clubs and their supporters.

This has impacted on two matches in Round Two, with the following fixtures unavailable for live streaming:

  • Luton Town v West Ham United U21
  • Swansea City U21 v Charlton Athletic

To watch the excitement of knockout football unfold, you can sign up to the iFollow service by selecting your chosen club from the EFL website.

Actually, after googling for a stream it might be on facebook, don't suppose we'll know for sure until kickoff.

Think there's a stream on Scunthorpes Ifollow? I assume it costs though.

5 quid to watch the game online... seems a bit excessive

lol Surely the owners meant one that would get us into Europe.

We've had these lads sat around for abit, they need games. Just hope we can keep their spirits up if they play well and still can't make it into the first team
