LOYALTY points are for rewarding loyalty.

Going to the most glamorous and high-profile games that the club has ever been involved in is not a demonstration of loyalty.

Going to places like Bury and Hull on a weeknight for a League Cup game is a demonstration of loyalty. That's why they got you a loyalty point.

:facepalm:not sure if serious.

We are talking about memberships and home points.

Nothing to do with how many times you have been to hull, bury or hartlepool for a league cup tie.

The same principle applies if we're only talking home games.

I was addressing the many posts saying there should have been points awarded for going to CL games. They are the last games for which points should be awarded.

Not really tho I still got away points for all my champions league aways, and that's the bit people have an issue with. Committing to 135 quid last year and getting not points under the new scheme for it. They also didn't include cup ties full stop last season in your starting total for this season. Yet now cup games count and yet cost a 3rd of going to see a league game.

Bizzare situation really. But so very Leicester lol

But what about those who just wanted to have priority for buying one or two tickets per year.  This loyalty scheme lark ignores those who have loyaly been members but now lose out.

Nb the club shop now tries to operate a loyalty scheme... this shows how little those running things understand.  Loyalty schemes are to stop js customers skipping off to tesco.   I dont need a scheme to keep me out of the forrest shop.

Imo the club shop should be used to grow young supporters... by selling a kids shirt for 20 quid...not 50.  Kids in leicester can buy a liverpool shirt from sportsdirrect for a third of the cost of a leicester top.

Yeah, you're absolutely right. I'm sorry that I for example live in south west London so 2+ hours away on the train and that I can't be bothered to send £150+ on train tickets, then get a hotel (so that's another £100)  because there's no trains back then have to get up a silly o clock to get to work and somehow function? I guess I don't deserve the chance to buy a ticket but somebody who lives 5 mins away and only remembered Leicester had a football team when we got back to the top flight, does?

It looks like my original post upset you some what. Fair enough if you live in London i get that however members and others wanting tickets who live in Leicester and surrounding areas will have the chance for Tuesday. Like I said though I highly doubt they will take up the opportunity to attend.

Same for the Huddersfield game, there were a vast number of seats dotted around the ground, why? Just because its Huddersfield?

Very disappointing that the CL games didn't count towards your points. A lot of people had to choose between the CL& PL games, I certainly had to due to the cost of flights and travel over. Last season I attended the fewest league games ever due to the CL. The cost of membership is also too high for what you're now being in return. I need to plan in advance so have no choice but to pay up.

Same here. Me and my dad prioritised CL over Prem last season, as we live in North Lancs and South Coast.

i don't see any justification in not issuing points for CL.

I wonder if there is also a way to look purchase history going back 5-10-15 years - as some have said proper loyalty going back to when we were shit. You're not loyal until you've stood at Yeovil on a midweek and had Bovril accidentally poured on your jeans in my opinion. But I bet they wouldn't have the records.

I'd have gone to Watford if tickets had gotten down to my priority but yeah, the website said they were all gone. That's a real pisstake if it hadn't actually sold out. Why would they do that?

It was definitely sold out, but there was 3 or 4 rows totally empty not far from me. Most likely corporates or comp tickets who've not turned up. Too have that many seats empty next to each other is too suspicious.

Why do people feel the need to over exaggerate to try and make a point

Look, I'm 100% with you when it comes to people not taking the chance and obviously there are so many fans coming out of the woodwork who weren't there years ago, so if they're moaning about it, then they need to get a grip.

My point was that I actually feel the people who moan about it on here are almost entirely justified. It's coming from people who have been on the forum for years so you can kind of assume that they'll have been a proper supporter back in the day and now they're missing out to the above because of mismanagement from the club.

I think we all have to except that times have changed for us as fans and there's going to be a lot of 'glory' fans about now. We should probably be embracing the increased fanbase as it enhances our claim to be a legitimate big club. But it's also said that a lot of long term fans get left behind. It's not an easy situation for the club but I don't think they've handled it particularly well and you'd hope they'll look at something that's sustainable, inclusive and fair.

Really? £150 plus for train tickets £100 for 1 night in an hotel sounds like an exaggeration to me

And that’s not to mention the sweeping statement about people who live near the ground as well

Can't add the screenshot here but it would cost £157.50 to get an anytime return. Short notice, hotels will cost around £100. I've done it before so I feel pretty comfortable that those what I said was a true reflection. But apparently you know better than my personal experience

What sweeping statement? If you read my other posts, I've talked about people for not being able to attend for various reasons now being the one's who are missing out. Pretty sure in the case you're talking about I've cited people who live near the ground and have suddenly taken an interest in us. Not all people who live near the ground. I think you'll find that's a specific group of people I'm talking about so the complete opposite of a sweeping statement?

The one thing that irritates me most is the club continuing to sell memberships throughout the season, it degrades the value of membership for those who sign up or renew in the summer.

On the above arguments on loyalty - I go to as many games as I can, but living in Scotland that isn't many. I support the club just as much as a member who goes every week, but membership points don't reflect that. I don't have an answer, but to me, the Gold/Silver/Bronze memberships were a better scheme (apart from the club selling loads when we were about to win the title).

Those costs are not an exaggeration. Price of train fares is extortionate in this country and a hotel for anything less than a tonne and you are looking at a crack den.

If you pay on the day yeh, but Kick off times are confirmed 6 weeks in advance so fans can sort travel etc.

Return tickets to Chelsea tomorrow cost me £29.50, without a railcard.

And they're half price now, not sure how it all works this season as not needed any, does it mean that someone could get one for £30 and have the same chance for tickets?

No they’d be lower priority as they’d have fewer points than someone who signed up in the summer and went to a few games.

They would start on 0 points as I understand it as there was a deadline to sign up and have your points from last season added. So they would have to enter ballots or hope tickets are left after the priority points brackets ended.

And as everyone who renewed got a minimum of 10 points they would not even be able to catch up by the end of the season also will be no where near getting any priority next season.

So the club is basically selling a worthless product.

On a weekend? And you've just said 6 weeks in advance. The example was the replay against Fleetwood and that's where my figures are from.

Yeh £29.50 for tomorrow's game, there n back same day. That's for my uncles ticket from Leicester which I booked.

I agree with you the replay is a different kettle of fish as its announced so late and on a weekday evening. But all league games (I.e majority of games) are announced way in advance. I live in London. I never pay anywhere near £150 for the train to get to home games. Average £30 return. And when's it over that I get the bus for about £5.38 return lol
