we limped to half time but they had the confidence to know they would get more chances - had we been solid and denying them chances then they would have had to change things 

 

i have been concerned about this part part of Puel’s management, even when we were winning games. I posted it.

No, we just need a manager who is man enough to play 2 strikers and ask them to go over the halfway line once in a while.

 

Liverpool will always dominate possession at home, but you make it easy for them by sitting deep. I thought they were actually quite poor today but it was inevitable they would win because most of the match was played in our half and a large slice of it around our box.

 

It is totally down to the manager.

2-1 did flatter us you are right but I still think the team played well. Liverpool have scored 12 goals in their last 3 games and most expected a battering but we fought and compted well.

No composure and not having a player available witiin ten yards doesn’t help - that’s my point - we can’t get possession and work it forwards by breaking their press. If a team is prepared to work their balls off against us then they will get a result - btw Huddersfield are that type of side .................
