So frustrating that if we'd not let those winning positions slip at just a couple of West Ham, Watford, Liverpool or Stoke within the last couple of months then we could tonight be talking about going for 6th and a guaranteed European spot...

Its called Football. I t s funny but the other teams also have 11 players on the pitch and play in the PL for a reason..

Plus  One never looks back...Its getting the points back from those same teams, in the turn arounds...

earning the right, and damn wrong for any fan to expect a result....methinks..

All a bit could've, would've, should've. If you look at it objectively we were lucky to get draws away at Huddersfield and Bournemouth as well as the home draw v Man Utd.

We're on the up and have every chance of finishing 7th at least if we can keep improving.

Winning the FA Cup would be like a dream come true though. :scarf:

Why assume we are going to finish 7th? Getting a bit cocky usual ends in tears.  Stiffel your enthusiasm till the last few games, please.

Nothing cocky about my post son. I never said we will definitely finish 7th or Burnley and Everton etc are shite. Just pointing out that due to a result tonight we already have an extra European position to aim at.

OMG !

IMO ,Just go for the bloody cup! We kill it, and its more silverware - Win Win! (Yeah yeah its only Peterborough, but hey, im pretty sure none banked on Swansea winning the other night against Liverpool)

We dont have to put out every good bloody player to start with, but stick to at least a team that GELS together and not just random bunch of squad players.

YES we still need to beat Everton in the league and we can still play our best 11 to do that, but for me there are 25 players in the squad and tbh none are shit so USE THEM!

We have been consistently inconsistent, so agree take nothing for granted.

Why don't we just go all out to win the FA Cup ourselves?

Well yeah, obviously.

Out of the 32 teams left in the Competition. 7 of them can guarantee us Europa League football next season.

Can we not just try to win the cup?

We're also equal on points with Burnley, hardly a massive cushion we've got with an away game coming up......

We've won three games away from home all season (albeit with a lot of draws), not bad I know but all of those sides we beat are in the bottom 5, If we're going to finish 7th our we will have to win more games away from home as I can see a lot of sides picking up form with a few games to go.

For everyone saying "can't we just try and win the FA Cup" of course we bloody should but last nights result has no bearing on that. Last night all but guaranteed 6th place a Europa League spot and kept alive the chance of 7th getting into Europe. This means we have more ways open to us to qualify for Europe. 1st - 6th all but guarantees Europe (Arsenal could win the league cup implode and finish 10th) 7th is still possible and winning the FA Cup guarantees it.

The other way to look at it is if Bristol City have somehow won the cup then 7th would be out as an entry to Europe and our league season may have fizzled out as a carrot would have been removed, putting more pressure on winning the FA Cup.
