Shocked to hear that Danny was dropped from the squad today. Very underestermated in my eyes having to cover for mahrez for obvious reasons. 

 

Didn’t help that amartey got injured as albrighton struggled today.

 

Maybe the start of Puel dismantaling the band of brothers

Poor player management with Amarty, he should have stayed in the team even with Simpson back because he was doing fine and improving.

Then to leave him gameless and not even on the bench for four matches and then bring him back was an injury waiting to happen.

Given no credit by many and not for football reasons that we know little about. But as a footballer (that's all I care about) one of our most consistent players since he came in.

I assumed he was injured due to him not being in the squad...

Commentary mentioned that he was injured.

 

Be more inclined to believe that. You'd need to have a back up for a relative novice to the position like Amartey. Not to mention his red card when Simpson went off against Man U.

The stream I was watching said Amarty had been out due  to injury since Everton if true it could  explain a few things

Would also like to know why Drag and Ibbora have been dropped to nothing. I wonder what puel is thinking. Some of what hes doing must have players asking questions.

Puel is going to get stick even if injury was a factor with either player.

 

The results aren't good enough, so lets all put the boot in and ask questions later. 

 

But perhaps I'm wrong...

True , I have been as baffled as everyone else as to why he had been  dropped because he was looking very good and he did today before going off . Just thought if true it might explain it

I can see why with Drago, even if I don't agree with it.

 

I'm thinking something has gone on with Iborra, although it might be Puel just doesn't fancy him (unlike the ladies on here ).

Crazy we look so better with drag and iborra in the team instead of Morgan and james

This is amerturish management & quite worrying. Even if Amarty was preferred to Simpson as an insurance you'd have the other player on the bench ... surley..? What was he thinking, he was obviously good enough to play the last few games..you can't just drop him from the squad. We know what's coming if this keeps happening..our player power will raise the axe again..

Same with Drago. We had a run of 5 clean sheets with him in the side and playing out from the back looked a whole lot nicer so no idea why we have allowed Morgan to stroll straight back in.

Agreed. Dragovic > Morgan, both defensively good and Drago is not a hoofer. The old boys in our squad clinging onto their places are becoming a cancer

I wasn’t surprised with Simpson being dropped. He’s not justified his place since pushing Amartey out of the team. He was our worst player against Stoke. Unfortunately Amartey looks like he’s going to be out of action again. Albrighton isn’t a safe RB solution though so I guess Simpson will be back in the team against West Brom.

Danny Simpson in a side that is aiming to dominate the game and control possession and pushes their full backs forward = Bomb Scare Shitbag. 

 

Simple as that really.

Against stoke and Swansea, we played the ball around until it got to Simmo. He is limited in possession but I’m not sure how much better amartey is anyway. 

 

It will get sorted in the summer
