What do you expect, we are an average Premier League team. We're not going down, we're not going to get into Europe.

Why not concentrate on the content rather than the spelling, it’s not countdown and everyone knew what he meant!

When Puel first arrived, many posters on here just wanted a period of consolidation for a while.

We've had years of yo-yoing, play-offs, promotions, relegation battles, great escapes, then eventually the euphoria of winning the PL and some people admitted to being emotionally drained with it all.

"Let's have a few years of mid table security" they said. "Let's just have a few years establishing ourselves as a regular PL team" they said.

Some fans may just end up getting what they wished for

Good ?. I, for one, am delighted with that. The last five seasons have taken years of my life-expectancy. I’m sure many WBA and Stoke fans would give huge amounts for our “disappointing season”.

40 points from 30 games most teams would take that. Are we supposed to be finishing higher than Arsenal? Spurs? With a new manager without a full summer and a really bad start. Delusions of grandeur springs to mind.

Puel made the same mistake as Shakespeare of winning his first few matches.

Never raise expectations of this lot - fatal!

Too many changes, not playing the right players and the team seem to only play when a goal down...

This sums it up- I'm sick of us waiting to go 1-0 down before we start playing properly. Why can't we be proactive and go out to win games against bottom half sides? It's the same sort of conservatism that cost Shakespeare his job.
