Riyad Mahrez. One of City’s best ever players. Should he stay or go?

I also had the thought of Riyad to PSG for a tres joli transfer fee ... but they have Mbappe AND di Maria playing his position.  Mbappe is a 100M+ 20 year old superstar.  Surely

Or go ahead and sell him to Man City but insist on a 100M buy back clause, and spend two years hacking his Facebook every month to say we are exercising it.

.

Do you even know how a buy back clause works?

If it worked as you suggest even rudkin would not be that fvcking stupid to agree one.

He's "too good for us" not because he's that good of a player, it's the fact that the difference between his ability and the management's is just too big. The club had the chance to go all out and get high profile players but instead we messed it up big time.

No ambition. No stability. 3 coaches in 2 years and a bench of unproven talent. that's not how to grow your business.

Reminds me of the Algerian NT lol

Whilst Mharez is still here we will never see a midfield trio of Ndidi, Silva and Ibora as Mharez will have to play number 10 and that won’t work nor will playing him wing back

Agreed terms with Roma alegedly

Riyad Mahrez agrees personal terms with Roma but Leicester are yet to agree transfer fee for £50million-rated star

By Wally Downes Jr

RIYAD MAHREZ has agreed personal terms with Roma ahead of a summer switch, according to reports in Italy.

The Leicester star has tried to force his way out of the club in the last two transfer windows and wanted to head to Man City in January, leaving his relationship with the Foxes strained.

And Italian paper Corriere dello Sportclaim the Algerian ace has lined up a move to Italy’s capital and is waiting for the Serie A side and the Foxes to reach an agreement.

The 27-year-old is still under contract at the King Power until 2020 so the club is well within their rights to demand £50million for the winger.

97th-minute free-kick against Bournemouth at the weekend helped repair some of the damage done to Mahrez’s reputation after an ugly January window.

The playmaker went AWOL when a deadline day move to Manchester Citycollapsed.

Bad timing for this, tbh, if it's true of course.

At the business end ofvthe season, and this could unsettle a few players.

When has that ever stopped him?

'Mahrez not satisfied with staying at Leicester and #Roma is moving. Last summer the two clubs did not find the agreement, now the negotiation is reopened'

'Non soddisfatto' sounds like a rude denial of obesity

I'd be surprised to see AS Roma shell out £50m, they haven't spent hugely since the 90s with Batistuta, Montella, Nakata etc. Though, after losing Salah last summer and perhaps Dzeko in the summer too maybe now they're ready to spend big again.

Even with 50M they'd be faaaar away from meeting our demands.

Puel speaks regarding Mahrez affecting our results from BBC site:

"

Mahrez saga had an impact' - Puel

Leicester City

Finally we hear from the softly-spoken Claude Puel and the Frenchman has admitted the saga around Riyad Mahrez's proposed transfer to Manchester City has had a negative impact on his side, particularly during their deadline day match against Everton.

"It was a strange atmosphere around the team," he says. "We lacked confidence after this game."

And now he's starting it again with his Roma "deal", he must fcuking hate us.

Isn't his wife just starting to launch a singing career? Sounds a very unlikely place to do that from.

Someone needs to tell her that there's free pianos you can use in highcross, great platform to put yourself out there IMO.

Exactly, what more does she need!

My sauces said that the next ROMA offer is 32 million and a cup of hot coffee. Don't do business with those penny pinchers!

Pfft...if it was a cinnamon cappuccino it may be more interesting.
