Just sipping a Harvey's Sussex Best at the Betjeman Arms in St Pancras. Would have popped out of the station but it's raining and I forgot my coat.

A pint to make you glad we've got Brighton away to look forward to again.

Harvey's is my favourite UK brewer. Will as usual 100% be going through the cask range at the John Harvey Tavern in Lewes when we have Brighton away next season

MOLSON CANADIAN on the sundeck, while checking out my neighbours wife and carrying on a conversation with her, while my wife was staring out the window watching.  Came in and said we were talking about how bad the allergy season is this year.

Some might say blasphemy but after a run around Sutton Coldfield in the blazing sun and up and down hills.

A Carling Shandy at the Station pub. Simply excellent

I thought this was the name of the beer when I started reading the post. Definitely sounds like a 6.8% coffee stout brewed in a former Methodist Church in Manchester.

Went to the sheephaven bay in Camden on Saturday. Was rammed but seemed a very cool pub, would need to revisit on a Sunday afternoon. Top notch Guinness.

Carling isn’t the worst. In a blind taste test against other macro lagers it’d come out well imo

Disagree. Carling and peroni are unmistakeable for me. They stand out like a cider

I've done a blind taste test on macro lagers and didn't do great. I also challenged my mates, who thought they would be able to smash it, and they didn't fare any better.

Admittedly, after after each pint your judgement goes to shit...

Anyone get any recommendations for good beer shops - selling local/independent/interesting beers - in north Leicestershire? I find Bradleys in Quorn has a decent selection.

A bit of a drive but worth it for the Spirit vault and their own tap house

Really like the spirit vaults, food is very good there too. Also Brewhouse in Melbourne and I know I always bang on about it but Brew in Ashby.

Salopian have started this too now. Stuff like 'Badger climbs through the back garden window'.
