Pint of ghost ship cask in pollys

What a gaff

Neck oil at The Manor. Not my choice, but the only other real option was pedigree but the pint was already poured. Had couple of cans of Ald IPA on me boat as well. Not bad and don’t feel as rough as I did on Saturday lol. Got to the pub just in time to see Tielemans outraged about the goal decision.

On route to Whitby, been a few times and always visit the brewery right behind the abbey. If anyone has any shouts for other decent watering holes with local ales would be appreciated 👍🏻

Last Tuesday at the Hollywood Bowl near the Vue cinema, a Guinness for £4.99, watched Thunderbolts and the prices for drinks in the cinema were just as extortionate,  no bottled drinks in there now apart from water.

Do they sell booze at the Vue now? I used to work there when at school then during uni holidays. Loved it. They always talked about selling booze but never did during my time

No alcohol just light drinks but in cups only, think the cheapest was £3.99? but decided to go to the Hollywood Bowl and use the bar there.

Got the rattler to Duffield last weekend, startlingly close to Derby. King William, Dead Poet’s Inn and the Holly Bush are a fantastic trio.

Holly Bush is a 9.5/10.

Holly Bush is a superb shout indeed.  Easily in my personal top three pubs.

Will look into doing that pub route with summer coming up.   Any pubs in Duffield worth going or did you chose to focus on the trio due to walking times between each pubs?

There's a micropub in Duffield called the Town Street Tap that looks decent, but it's table service only (even post-pandemic) and we couldn't be bothered waiting when we went in. It was rammed.

Yeah definitely although I don’t see them around as much as I did a few years back. Their ipas are always class though. I’ve booked a couple of nights at an air bnb near their taproom for September.

Bloody lovely beer. Probably my favourite of that style.

Agreed, whilst very soft and hoppy definitely haven't gone the super heavy, gloopy and opaque route with it which makes it much more drinkable imo.

Had one of these today at Herbert's Yard today with some honey buffalo chicken wings. Then had a pint of Loom by SALT which was decent but nowhere near as good as steady rolling man
