How many languages do you speak Ben?

Pretty sure Leicester is the same in French as it is in English.

If you can't distinguish between Leicester and Southampton, then that's got nothing to do with language skills.

Slip of the tongue, more like it.

But in a way indicative of how committed Puel is to our club - that's my theory.

Probably more like "Lesstairrre", I reckon.

Many years ago, I was picked up hitchhiking in France and got chatting to the driver in French.

He was explaining how he'd spent some time working in England, in a place named "Soo-Ton-Ton".

He was mystified that I'd never heard of this place. It was in the South, he said, a major port....then I realised: "Southampton", pronounced French-stylee. :D

Might not be.

An Italian doesn't say Turin or Naples.

It actually is - I've seen plenty of Leicester matches televised in France to tell you that they pronounce it the exact same way, maybe with a slight hint of a French accent in their voice.

lol I'm no linguist but I'm pretty sure it would be the same. My point is it's harder to express yourself when your not speaking in your native tounge and mistakes and slips of the tounge happen more frequently. I'm 99% sure that if he was being interviewed in French he wouldn't get Leicester and Southampton mixed up.

I'm not sure it's Southampton, just sounds like some random noises with a heavy French accent. Kudos for sitting through 12 mins of Puel though.

How long was Puel at Sarf'am'tun? Why are they more memorable than us? I'm hurt. He clearly loves them more than us ?

I called my teacher “mum” once, clearly means I have deep seated attachment issues that manifest themelves by clinging onto authority figures revealing a troubled and flawed personality. Exactly the same situation as Claude slipping up, when you think about it.
