The club runs its own charity, which has raised over a million for good causes.

I hope all of you digging them out over this never pass a charity bucket without sticking some thing in.

Let's be honest he could have done this succesfully without even consulting the club.

seems like all that was needed was an explanation that the club give their left bollock to the foxes foundation quite regularly and the birch has done this charity run since before that weird west ham fan was even born. next.

I essentially replied on twitter with something along those lines and to be fair they've all replied and been pretty sound since.

For me it's a little like Fox92 said, we still have league 1 thinking off the pitch, no PR training, terrible marketing etc etc... I basically tweeted what I would have if I was running the clubs official twitter and you only have to see the response to see it's not difficult to diffuse a situation like that!

Whether the club did anything wrong or not it's all about perception and we're always so slow to react to things like this in a positive manner.

If you ask me, by using NOT in the tweet in capitals, he it makes it sound like the club have spoke to him and gave him a lecture or something, if the club has made a private donation the least he could do is help promote the foxes foundation charity.

Bang on. But it's always been like that as far as I can remember, and you've only to look at the club dragging its heels on safe standing, when others are actively getting behind their fans, to see just how far behind we are in those areas. See also, club social media accounts and officials lying to fans about Champions League ticket collection points being "UEFA regulations". It leaves a bad taste sometimes.

Yeah I've no idea what coloues are.

I never said it did. But he went about it completely the wrong way. Named jim when clearly wasn't his decision. Then showed his colours by suggesting he hoped jim never needed anyone's help.

Also got lost in his own cause by abusing anyone who tried to make a valid point about us raising money for charity ourselves today. To the point where women were being offered out for a fight. Lovely way to go about things.

But that's just my opinion.

I wish him and his daughter all the best. Can't imagine what he is going through but in this case he wasn't exactly whiter than white in his actions.

Gotta be honest, I've looked at this thread and twitter and my only conclusion is the club have done very little wrong other than perhaps some wobbly comms and this is another example of an attention seeking, rabble rousing, self promoting social media cvnt.

Even when he posts that the matter is resolved he doesn't bother explaining how he was wrong and leaves it ambiguous so he can still look indignant and hard done to at a later date.

The amount that our owners actually do for charitable causes and you've got the ****ing audacity to turn on the club because some helmet West Ham fan is being a child on twitter? Without actually really knowing many details?

State of this place sometimes.

Glad someone said it. Sick of the cause a scene to get what I want mentality on social media.

I don't think he wished that in the first place?

Original tweet been taken down, but it was along those lines.

Following on, West Ham’s director’s were seated in the director’s box area today but on row L rather than row A. Whilst I have little care for Sullivan and gold, I was disappointed to see sir Trevor struggling to find where he was supposed to sit pre game.

I spoke to Sullivan at the end of the game to say that I thought it wasn’t classy to do this. he was polite and said it was different cultures, different attitudes. Vichai is clealry still v unhappy with ms Brady but she didn’t attend and to seat the owners of your opposition away from their usual place and amongst Home supporters immediately in front and behind them disappointed me. I think we are better than this.

Didn't actually wish he had cancer but did say he hoped jim never needed help.

As an aside.

There was a meeting at the memorial garden after yesterday' game arranged by the members of the London supporters club in memory of Paul Taylor yesterday. Jim was the only member of LCFC staff to make the effort to wander over after the lap of shame.
