I can see both sides.

The club is under no obligation to donate to simply anyone. Also, I find it a bit unprofessional to ask for an official inclusion during a matchday at such short notice.

Also, judging by the text only, the guy comes across as having a bit of an attitude.

I find it a bit unfortunate to use this episode as a tool to slate the club (both by the guy in question and in this thread), although they could've probably handled it a bit better and been a bit more welcome.

Let's not forget we don't know the full details and what actually happened between these two parties.

Anyone who knows Jim would testify what a decent chap he is. People true colours come out when hit with adversity. The guys comments towards Jim shows him in a very bad light. Good on the club in my opinion for someone so ridiculously spiteful.

Also the title to the thread is VERY biased..it's YOUR opinion, not categoric!

So the club want to collect for their own charity? Christ some people can't wait to bitch and moan at anything and everything at the minute...

If a charity has a fundraiser once a year responsible for a large amount of their collections would they share it? Not a chance. Done nothing wrong.

What we don’t know is what was asked and why it was rejected, Jim has obviously got back in touch to see what he can do. Cox doesn’t come across as someone that would reach a compromise and probably more interested in shaming Leicester to promote his own cause.

Anyway we’ve got bigger things to worry about on and off the pitch.

From what I've read they've come to an agreement and Cox is thanking them genuinely so assume a donation or something has been given

Yes and I've also seen clubs like Huddersfield who are run well.

Don't let one story where you don't know the facts belittle the club. I'm sure there are LOADS of Premier league clubs, let alone non premier league clubs who'd bite your hand off for our club and everything it has to offer. Think ALOT of fans have been spoilt recently!

seems like all that was needed was an explanation that the club give their left bollock to the foxes foundation quite regularly and the birch has done this charity run since before that weird west ham fan was even born. next.

I really don't like this person trying to drag Jim's name through the mud, he's a top bloke and for all we know probably didn't make the decision himself, and gauging from how helpful he is, he probably would have explained why this was the case and maybe suggested an alternative means

I'm not saying it's not a good cause but just because you're trying to raise money for charity doesn't make you immune from being a total cvnt. Careful shouting your mouth off.

Agreed completely; Jim is normally one of the most helpful people you can meet, and I'd doubt he'd have made the decision. I assume the club wouldn't want to jeopardise Birch's run attention and the money gained for all the local charities, which in principal is fair enough.

It's a great cause, but the guys conduct is shameful. But it looks like Jim got him a donation so I'd hope he gave an apology.

He does come across a bit Glenn Tamplin like.

I'm guessing that explanation was given. But the West Ham fan didn' give a bag of bubbles if he wasn' getting his own way.

That's a really stupid thing to say

Pretty sure the poster could give numerous reasons as to why he thinks they are.

I would tend to agree with him due to my own experiences.
