ARM1968 Posted 24 July 2018 Posted 24 July 2018 No one. They’re all on too much money. Going to be almost an impossibility to shift these gits. Our recruitment team all need the bullet. 1
PaulW Posted 24 July 2018 Posted 24 July 2018 Don't understand the preoccupation with shipping players out. Their wages aren't coming out of your pocket, & there has never, ever been a statement from the board along the lines of 'we need to sell before we can buy'. They're not even sitting in seats that you could use! 1
mozartfox Posted 24 July 2018 Posted 24 July 2018 Yes. but these players may be preventing better new blood coming in to the Club 2

Anybody in their late 20's and older will know all too well what poor financial planning will get you. 3

Or like Sunderland now, two relegations in two years and half the team still on PL contracts and they can't get rid of them.

They're not even sitting in seats that you could use! Why on earth would the club make a statement that we need to sell players, you’d be getting all sorts of bids well under the players true value. It’s naive to think a club like Leicester can just keep signing players endlessly. We are talking about players on north of 2-2.5 million each a year.
Babylon Posted 24 July 2018 Posted 24 July 2018 The outgoings will happen later in the window when clubs know time is short for us to get rid... but we will get rid of plenty. 2
gurru991 Posted 24 July 2018 Posted 24 July 2018 I happen to believe that Leicester City are doing or at least attempting to do the very best for this club. I'm sure they understand the need to move some players before the season starts. A lot of people here seem to think that deals can be done at the drop of a hat. City have done some amazing business so far & I fully expect us to move some players for whatever the market will bear before deadline day. Our owners are here to make money & I'm sure they will continue to do so. 2

The club is owned & run by billionaires, who are amongst the richest 5% of people in the world. I think I trust their their business acumen. They will be fully aware of the wage bill.
blaaklint Posted 24 July 2018 Posted 24 July 2018 (edited) Try richest 0.005%. Earning about £25k puts you in the top one percent worldwide. That's pretty obscene. Edited 24 July 2018 by blaaklint

Mehrez Posted 24 July 2018 Posted 24 July 2018 Just noticed Okazaki doesn’t seem to be in Austria, surely he’d be due back now?

They're not even sitting in seats that you could use! There's a limit under FFP on wage growth each year. Because we've signed a few players, even with Mahrez leaving, it's quite possible that were up against that limit. We need to sell to free up allowable wages for new signings. The board would never make a statement like that.

Now im sure we need to shift players, it's not good for moral having so many, not good for the players, or our bottom line if we don't... but teams feeling the squeeze don't spend that sort of money on players that aren't really needed at this moment in time.

Every business of any significant size has to budget for a greater or lesser amount of productivity from it's employees. All I'm saying is, why all the stress on subject? There's not a club in the league that doesn't have player's on it's payroll that are highly unlikely to feature in the first team. A recent post on here showed that on transfer dealings we have the best profit margin in the Prem., we (almost) fill the ground for every home game, so FFP sanctions look unlikely. Sorry but I still don't see how people like King, Musa, Mendy etc. are 'stopping the club from going forward'. Edited 25 July 2018 by PaulW

Not only would it be nearly what we paid for him but we'd also be £65k a week better off too. Slimani I fear we'll have to loan out every season now, Mendy god knows. We're fcuked with Ulloa, King and James. Rudkin and Shakespeare deserve stripping of any acknowledgement of being part of the title win for extending those 3 deals alone. 1
