Hmmm, 7 new players in the first team at once. What could possibly go wrong? 20 to 40m player bought for the bench.

He'd only be on the bench until he cut his hair.

Not having to feel like we need to shoehorn Mahrez into the side means we can play two up top with Iheanacho and Vardy meaning Vardy won’t be so isolated like last season

Ok lets stick with Albrighton, Morgan and co. and have another substandard season...

Absolutely agree mate, there all past it or about to be, you’ve named some fantastic players there to sign.

This is a good point actually.

Iheanacho, I have belief he will get more goals for us next season. He ended the last season well, given he was actually playing games and not just coming off the bench for 20 mins a game.

Against the big teams that could work, 1-0 win's galore

The only change I'd make is if Maguire still prefers to be on the left side of the back three, then in attack, Silva can move forward to the number 10 role and Nacho can join Vardy up front...  And then we need a B-team that can also do something similar!

Kasper

Pereira

Mawson(I don't think Dragovic will sign after being selected behind Morgan, I'm sure we will sign somebody but I wouldn't be surprised if Puel kept using Morgan.)

Maguire

Chilwell

Elyounoussi

Iborra

Ndidi

Gray/Diabate

Nacho

Vardy

Subs: Jak, Morgan, Fuchs, Silva, Albrighton, Maddison, Slimani

Replace Albrighton with either Shaqiri or Hazard that’s one hell of a team.

To be fair, Loftus-Cheek does look a hell of a player and he is hench as buggery too, although I see him more of a classic centre mid than a number 10.   Would love us to fill a team with young exciting players.  I personally still rate Pope as the best keeper we could potentially get and Mawson as the best defender.  I would go all out for these two and try a cheeky bid for Loftus-Cheek too.  Then get Maddison and/or Grealish and we look quite an exciting young team.  The only issue is that a lot of folk want a marquee signing to replace Mahrez.  I completely understand this and maybe we do need one but I would not be adverse to creating a more balanced squad with potential than worry too much about one huge signing.  I would be happy with something like:

                       Pope

Pereira  Maguire  Mawson  Chilwell

     Ndidi/Iborra  Silva/Grealish/RL-C

Grey  Maddison/Iheanacho  Diabate

                       Vardy

If we realise we are lacking that "Mahrez magic" in a team something like the above we could look for a more "worldy" signing but I would be happy to give the above half a season to see how they get on.  With the team above I would think Maddison, Iheanacho, Diabate, Grey, Grealish and RL-C would be accepting of a little rotation as are all pretty young.

Iborra has history of being a bit of a no10. I often think we miss a trick not pushing him up at times during games and untilising his height, physical presence  and passing further up the field to suck up the defenders and give Vardy/Mahrez etc a little more license to roam.

I guess the lineup could be more like this, then?

                      Kasper

     Dragovic - Evans - Maguire

 Pereira            Ndidi         Chilwell

                   Silva - Iborra

                       Nacho

                        Vardy

With either Silva or Iborra moving up in attack behind Nacho & Vardy...

What would everyone’s realistic 11 be for next season? We linked to pretty much every transfer speculation going.

So I was wondering what everyone’s 11 would be, what the aim for the season should be.

My 11 if transfers were to go through would be.

although I'm liking what I see, I highly doubt we'll implement a 3 or 5 at the back system

I tend to agree.  I would be very surprised with anything other than a back 4.  X

Kenedy is a great shout! I don’t think we need a left back, but would be very happy to have attacking wing backs of Pereria and Kenedy. Devastating!

Unfortunately, I'd now say Dragovic is bordering on unrealistic.
