Wymsey Posted 3 June 2018 Posted 3 June 2018 Even after a big Summer ahead of them, Sunderland should really get promotion, at least via the play-offs, out of the League 1 - given their resources. Think Peterborough will be up there with them, whilst Accrington have nothing to lose really and should give the league a good go. Hope Lincoln continue their rise and do even better in the league this time round, and think Tranmere will surprise a few by having a decent season back in the fourth league.
Ian Nacho Posted 3 June 2018 Posted 3 June 2018 I expect Sunderland to go up, heard there signing Sobhi from Stoke, maybe not good enough for the Premier League but far too good for League One. Luton to make a surprise play-off place.

spacemunky Posted 5 June 2018 Posted 5 June 2018 Love that Notts got back to back friendlies in July against Derby and Leicester

Posh will get nowhere with Steve Evans in charge IMO. I see he's already started his usual slash and burn approach to the squad. 400k on a striker from Stevenage who scored 10 goals last season is not good business.
MC Prussian Posted 6 June 2018 Posted 6 June 2018 Barnsley have a new manager - Daniel Stendel joins after more than a year without a job. Last managed Hannover 96 in Germany.
Wymsey Posted 6 June 2018 Author Posted 6 June 2018 Paul Tisdale is now the manager of MK Dons. A shame that he's left Exeter, a well-run club, for a club like them who shouldn't have been created tbh.

Wymsey Posted 30 June 2018 Author Posted 30 June 2018 Jay Spearing signs new Blackpool contract. Grant McCann is the new Doncaster manager.
Wymsey Posted 18 July 2018 Author Posted 18 July 2018 Khazri leaves Sunderland. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/44866279 Possibly more of a better option for Sunderland, in getting decent money for him due to him being a good player and cutting costs etc.
spacemunky Posted 20 July 2018 Posted 20 July 2018 We signed Oxlade-Chamberlain! https://www.nottscountyfc.co.uk/news/2018/july/oxlade-chamberlain-announcement/

isaidno Posted 22 July 2018 Posted 22 July 2018 Went to watch Lincoln vs Blackburn today. Think Lincoln are going to struggle a bit this season. Haven't scored a goal in pre season yet and not creating chances.
Wymsey Posted 22 July 2018 Author Posted 22 July 2018 Sunderland, considering their resources etc, should thrive in League One imo.

spacemunky Posted 25 July 2018 Posted 25 July 2018 Notts just announced that we will have 9 sponsors for this season. So the kits will feature a different one each month. Last year we had four and now nine. Most teams have just one. Our popularity continues to grow!
